I'm searching for a kind-hearted mp3 owner near Columbus, GA...i need to download your ECU to my car...i'll make it worth your while...everything will be done at a mazda dealer.
Thanks,
Chris

what would it take for me to get you to drive to Columbus, GA for one of our techs to download your ecu?
just let me know!
Thanks,
Chris

why, so you can fill up with premium and take advantage of only 10 crank hp? hmm, i dont think its worth it...

think- ive put over 650 gallons in premium in my mp3. if i would have gotten regular i could have saved at least $130. i dont think the 10 CRANK hp is worth that much.

well...with all of the other things i'm doing to the car...it kinda helps...if you look at the whole picture instead of just the ECU and what that'll do for the car. i'm modeling my car after a friend's...and when he was finished, he was getting 30+ mpg in the city...and he did have the fasted p5 in the area...so i think i'd rather have the mp3 ecu...besides, i just drive to and from work...so the gas isn't that big of a deal.
but thanks for your insight...yeah, it doesn't seem worth it...but it will be.

shoot man, I'd just be happy if I could get your mazda dealership to do the clutch tsb for my mp3. I'm about to pull my hair out trying to get my dealer to do it.

Ok,
i asked one of the techs about a "clutch tsb" and he had never heard of that...what is it exactly? i'm pretty sure he'll do it. thanks,
chris

The bulliten # is MT000003848, Clutch chatter during cold take off. I'm not sure if he'll find it under TSB's or Tips in his data base.
The problem is it's intermittin (spelling?). So I've been trying for ever to get it reproduced for my dealership. They're a bunch of ass holes!. I've only got 3 thousand miles left on my waranty, and I need to get it fixed.

here's a link to the a site with the bulletin on it. http://web2.airmail.net/emann/protegefaq/tsb/

here's a link to a thread on this board about it, many of our members are getting it fixed with no problems. My dealership just sucks.
