Any got Cat-Back Exhuast systems for the 3?

Is it possible to use the factory bolts on the front flange (where they came from) and the Draxas bolts on the rear flange? (scratch)
Goldwing, this would be possible but mazda decided to be freakin' retards and spot weld the bolt to the factory cat flange leaving the bolt utterly useless. I also had this same problem and just used some bolts, nuts, and washers that I had laying around the shop.

I took a different route than most of you. My exhaust is simply 2 1/4 pipe from the cat, I removed the resonator and put a magnaflow canister on it. It looks and sounds pretty damn good.

Gotcha. So they, in effect, made the bolts into studs. Easier for assembly but no good for re-use.

Bummer. Back to bitching at Draxas. (notcool)

FED EX dropped off the extras at my door today...2 of each: washers nuts and bolts...how about you?

I got mine too. But they were not needed. I laid out the kit and saw that it was missing the nuts, bolts and washers. Made sure I got some new ones before I started.
Draxas already knows of this problem.

I made it very clear to Draxas that they "s*** the bed" on this one......And I was told that Draxas informed Thermal and Thermal was sending an extra pair to everyone who ordered a Hiflow cat/road pipe.....Problem is, I didnt notice till I had the cat ond mid pipe on, so my car was stranded for a day.....went to Home Depot, got the parts and finished it late last night...I'm thrilled, but disappointed in the whole process...I ordered mine in Nov...went through 3 new shipping dates, wasnt told I had to sign for fed-ex so shipping took 2more days, AND wasnt able to complete the project w/out getting extra parts....I just sure hope this system was worth the trouble...seems like it will be, but we'll have to see.

Word is these guys already have a prototype for the headers, but that doesnt mean much until they are officially out...lets stay tuned.

PS-COmpleted installation at 11:15PM. received 2tickets at 11:32 & 11:35PM......(Luckily I struck a deal and they will both be dismissed at court..but damnnnnn!)

Too me missing 2 bolts is a very very small problem. It was only made a bigger problem when you did not go over everything before you rushed into the install. Sounds like you are the one that s*** the bed. Not that I am taking up for Draxas, it is just fuunny when someone cries over something small that they could have fixed if a little common sense was used.

All needed parts should be included in the kit. Period.

2 tickets? For what?!

I will also agree with goldwing that all kits should come complete. At least they are automatically fixing the problem, but waiting a couple days is still too long.

I was a little sketchy about getting a canister also, but it is surprisingly not ricey. The first few days it sounded a bit ricey in 5000+ rpm's, but that went away quick. it sounds real good in low rpm and is no longer ricey in upper rpms

Here's the deal, I ordered the damn thing about 4months ago....there were 3 delays, and when it got there it was incomplete....I admit, in my rush I couldve saved myself some problems(and I will next time), but the point is you pay money for things and then they dont deliver on their end. Not saying everything about them is bad...people mess up..but it does suck, and I'm not just "bitching" about it...I'm letting people know so they dont do the same thing and end up w/out a car for a day or so....

As for the tickets...I took it out for a ride right after I put it in....got stopped going 74 in a 30, and driving w/out a license b/c I left my wallet at home...but the guy hooked it up and they'll both be dismissed...(Whew.....good acting!)

TGV If you are referring to the Draxas exhaust no one was billed till a week before they shipped.. I ordered my exhaust back in nov. There were complications so i canceled... I re-ordered once I heard an update on the system. The exhaust shipped and was at my door the next day.

As for the missing bolts.. it appears thermal shipped everyone the hardware for the basic kit only.. no biggie.. I checked my package and informed the installer there might be a problem.. they ran to the parts house and got the bolts.. I also sent Nikolas an email.. recieved my hardware the next day..

I didnt go into freakout mode because I am used to ordering lots of stuff online.. I am also well aware that in the fabrication of specialty parts, especially for a smaller company like draxas the smallest of problems can cause delays at anytime.. Just imagine how freaked out youd be if you were ordering specialty parts from japan..lol (boom05)
