Any CX-7 sightings?

Crystal pearl white???

Anyone seen the white CX7 yet?? Can anyone snap some pics if you do? Out here mostly greys, silvers, blacks and reds. Hubby does not like the red...says it's too orange...I disagree. No silver, grey or icy blue.....he does not like those either. I am thinking the white and I am shocked but he liked the black and so do I but it's so high maintenance!! I am not sure about the blue....so it's probably white or black?

Thank you so much for the pics....hmmmm......white is nice but not sure yet! I like the red myself and would like to see a blue in person. Thanks for your help gang!

I haven't seen any CX-7s since my last post in this thread -- that was like 2 weeks ago. Where'd they all go?? Did everyone stop buying this great looking car?

(shocked)

Dealer sightings...

OK.....Seen a liquid platinum sport model w/black cloth today in Schaumburg, IL. Gotta say I liked the color....shows the lines well on the car. I am not a fan of grey and not usually silver unless it's super bright like my RX 8 but this color seemed silvery grey with a hint of violet.....nice in the sun. Hmmm.....now I just need to see the blue and white in person and then I am ready to decide!!

cruzdreamer,

Buy the Blue, you will not regret it.

The liquid platinum was on our list, but I favored Blue.

I think that the Reds, Greys will soon be way too common. Only a few Blues will stick out and turn heads !!! It is certainly being noticed here in Eastern Canada.

I'm thinking about it.....

Yea...I definitely need to see the blue in person......I like a cool car that stands out....hubby likes blue and really wants to see it. Thom.....can you get me pics of your car from the side and back.....I appreciate it! I will look for the pics in this thread! Got the for sale sign on my RX8 today and it's on Auto Trader and Yahoo Auto's!

Saw my first white on the road today! WOW! It was such a sight to see.. definitely has a sharp catchy look to it. Looked really nice! Reminds me of my white Mazda 5. I think I know which colour i'd like to get if I get a cx-7 one day :D

New CX-7 Owner

Hey there Folks!

As of 07/12/2006, I'm now sporting around in the Los Angeles, CA area with my new CX-7! Sweet ride!

It's an AWD Grand Touring model, Black Cherry Mica (just like the avatar), Sand GT leather seats with the technology package.

My dealer, Galpin Mazda in Van Nuys, CA had to go to another dealer to trade one of their vechicles to get me the one (and only one around LA) that I wanted.

VERY impressed by the ride of this vehicle, and actually my dealer!

Cheerio,

Michael Rudy

Michael,

I think we have the same vehicle, and I was just as adamant as you were about what I wanted. :)

They are all great colors.

We started off having the dealer order us an Icey Blue. When we saw it with the other CX-7's on the lot we lost interest in it and were torn between the Platinum and True silver colors.

Took the silver home for an extended test drive over the weekend. When returning on Monday to purchase it we are drawn to a White one that was just being delivered. Funny how removing it away from the rest of the CX-7's it became her new favorite.

Now even though all three in the family agreed that the Copper Red would be the best looking, but as the daily cleaner of two MX-5's my age puts a damper on keeping up a pristine third daily driver vehicle. So even though we just picked up a new white MX-5 a few weeks back, we ended up taking the white CX-7 also.

Sure wish they would have made them in a SeaMist Green and Champagne as color choices were just so limiting

Hey James,

Great! If you don't mind I have a few of questions for you.
1. I have 600+ miles on it, and STILL the car has that funky catalytic converter burning smell. Did yours have that, if so, how many miles?

2. The "autopilot" BOSE sound control doesn't seem to work - I really don't notice any volume and/or tonality changes with various inside cabin volume changes. Notice that issue?

3. The air conditioner works, but it's not the coldest I've ever felt. I'm here in sunny CA where AC is MANDATORY. The car does cool, but I've been more impressed with my old traded-in car. Yours supercold, cold, or adequate?

Thanks!
Michael

We did have a thread on the smell issue in this same forum. Everybody gets it. It does go away - mine did at 800 - 1000 mi

1. Yeah, everyone seems to have the smell. People have said it's something they put on the engine to protect it for the trip over here. Mine was never that strong, and was gone in 3 tanks or so.

2. I haven't noticed any change in volume w/increasing speeds either. I eventually turned it off.

3. My experience with the AC is similar to yours, except sometimes it's plenty cold, and sometimes it's only adequate. It seems like in general people have mixed reviews on the AC. Setting it to recirculate helps, and someone said closing the sunroof shade helps. I've noticed the dash gets pretty warm in the sun, especially the hard plastic curved piece in front of the driver.

I concur on all accounts.. the A/C isn't the coldest... in NY when it hit 100 early this week i was sweating for 20min. I found that if you close the passenger vents (assuming you are flying solo) it distributes to the driver better. My car actually doesnt smell... it has 400 miles on it.

Silver sighting..

Saw my first one on the road in St. Charles, IL.....silver. Nice.

I see a copper red CX-7 in the morning now, 2x last week, I-75 north, gets off exit 399 and turns left onto 441. Seen it 2x there, then once before the exit.
