Acid? Gross.

I'm a big fan of Hoyo De Monterrey's. They're my "go to" cigars. I'm also a big fan of CAO Brazilias and Italias. I enjoy Rockey Patel Vintage 1989 and absolutely love Carlos Torano.

Here's the trick... buy something legal to bring over and swap the labels/tubes whatever from the Cubans.

All I had to do to bring some cubans from last year in Jamaica was take the labels off. I got my stuff inspected like three times and they never said anything. I stuck the labels in my wallet and put them back on when I got home.

Gipper,

I just started getting back into cigars this week! PIcked up a Rocky Patel humidor on ebay, now I gotta stock it. Any good cigar shops near us?

I know there's a shop in Yorkville off of Cannonball Trail IIRC but haven't been in there yet, as my humidor came in yesterday!

Nice Humi there. The only local store here in Oswego is this Tobacco store on 71 by an Ace Hardware. Otherwise I drive out to Naperville and hit up Bull and Bear downtown. Its a very nice store with a huge selection. There's a burning leaf out in Plainfield too, but I've never been there.

Very cool that there's a local on here that's into cigars. We'll have to smoke sometime.

71 by the Ace? I think I know where you're talking about. . .I'll have to make a trip out that way.

Oh, check this out, still have to order it (was waiting on the humidor first) so I'll probably order it soon.

Decent selection. You'll enjoy the Vegas 5, Ghurka, and Carlos out of those. The Indian tabac isn't too shabby either. For that price, can't go wrong though.

Check out cigarbid.com. Its basically ebay for cigars. Everything starts out as a dollar andy ou bid until the final day. I've picked up a couple fivers that run $45 MSRP for about $11.

Also, if you know where Cardinal fitness is out here, the tobacco store is on the other side of the street.

Do colts and backwoods count as cigars?

Ha, no. not by your serious cigar smokers they don't. Nothing made by a machine that can sit out without needed to be put in a humidor for a long time is a cigar. Plus, they're flavored. You don't smoke a cigar for "cherry" or "grape" flavor". You smoke them for the natural tobacco tastes that one learns to appreciate.
