Any aftermarket for the new mazda3 yet?

I just picked up a 2.5l manual hatchback last night. I like most things about the car but it is too quiet on blips and that combined with the gas pedal positioning is making my heel toe less consistent. Are there any aftermarket parts for the new cars yet? I didn't see anything on goodwin. I would like more noise on throttle without adding any drone.

If you're looking for an exhaust I only know of an axle back system from corksport and a cat back system from magnaflow. They both sound pretty good, but I don't know if either will have the drone you were talking about. You might be able to remove the plastic cover on the engine to increase the sound a little, if memory serves there was a bit of noise deadening material under the cover.

Racing Beat also makes an exhaust for the new 3. Corksport, K&N, and James Barone makes SRI for the new 3. Corksport and H&R makes lowering springs for the new 3.

I installed a Cork Sport Short ram intake and the Cork sport axel back exhaust. My hatch sounds way better now w/o too much drone i might add.

My advice for you, if you wanted to lower your car, is to go through Font Motorsports and get the BC racing coil overs + Swift springs.

I don't want to lower it- this is my practical car. I have a CSP prepped NA miata that satisfies my need for a low and fast money pit.

I will mess around with the air filter to see if I can find my on throttle noise. I am getting more used to how quiet it is and the pedal positioning is starting to make sense to my feet.

I'm still waiting for my corksport exhaust for my 3. Its been on backorder for about a month now with a ship date of the 15th. But since I live right across the river from them i'll just go pick it up. I'm still trying to decide if I want the SRI though. I have the K&N high flow filter and its a nice filter but not as loud as a SRI.

Yea i thought about purchasing a pipe and swapping out the SRI for a CAI setup, but said **** it. Keep in mind you will need a gasket for the axel back

It doesn't come with a gasket? Can you get it at any auto parts store?

Instruction says you can use your old one.

Correct. You could use your old one, but they are so cheap i'd invest in a new one. it was 1 extra step i had to take when installing mines is all.
