STAY AWAY FROM USING UPS.Another package received, clearly marked $50 dollar value $40 in BS UPS ,F ing fees.No wonder my usual UPS delivery person quit,he agrees with me that they are ripping off the receivers of packages. My beef is they are doing this thousand times a day.

This Has been discussed before bt if it will help , when UPS arrives and they want their huge overcharges for shipping and handleing ,dont accept the package ,then they have to return it to the sender . If enough people would do this then the charges would stop .
Right now with the way our dollar is it isnt worth getting stuff from the states . The shipping and handling just makes it worse

ups SUCKS

How can you be charged a restocking fee when you didnt recieve the product . You tell UPS thast the shipping and handling charges are out of line and you wont pay them

UPS is a business when they bring your s*** across the border they have to take it through customs, that includes labor which is why your charged it

simple solution, dont use ups and stop your bitching because I know this is at least the 2nd post you have posted about this

as I told you before if you dont want to pay tarrifs dont order it from the US

Its not the tarrifs that people are complaining about .Its the high rate that UPS charges to cross the border . Take a look at when something is shipped via mail you have a 7$ handling charge . Yes you still have to pay Tarrifs but that is another subject , UPS is raping their customers when thet charge as much as the value of the product , UPS isnt the only guilty of this ,other shippers do the same . I had some stuffed shipped ,free product to replace warrenty and I was charged 65 Bucks handling fee by UPS , So dont tell me it is due to Tarriffs . Thsy are a totally different charge .

isnt that exactly what I said? I said they have labor to bring it in, which is the handling fee

then you pay other things on top of that, it does not matter how much the product is worth they still have to do the customs work to get it inside the country which is why they charge it

like you just said they all do it so why b**** its not going to change anything

try importing the s*** yourself and then you will see why they charge you for it

EXACTLEY UPS starts at min $29.55,then the taxs, then Tar.Far cry from the USPS and CPS (government)of $7.00 or so.

Also you can dispute the charges USPS CPS,send in a form and receive some your money back. UPS has no forms ,and if they did they would send it to you with $29 duty on it.(flame)

It's tough for us to ship to Canada. Most want us to declare a lower value and use USPS. We have been using USPS and about 90% of the packages go over the border fine. The other 10% become lost or customs holds them for weeks on end. When this happens it hurts us. So we are now looking at either not shipping to Canada or only using UPS. We have lost 4 packages of the last 18 that went to Canada. Since we declared a lower value and used USPS we took it in the shorts.

I just shipped an ECU form TX to FL overnight with tracking and $100 worth of Insurance for 20 through USPS. I shipped it Friday morning and it got there 11:30 am Sat. Can't beat that.

has anyone here actually gone to a canadian customs office and cleared their own packaged and seen all the forms and papers that need to be filled out, tarrif codes that have to be looked up?

the $7 canada post or usps charges is plain and simple a bargain.... the amount that UPS charges is probably closer to the actual time required to pay someone to complete the work required to import the shipment... are they making money? sure they are... are they a non-profit organization? no... everyone is trying to make a buck... that's how the economy works...
like others have said, be prepared to pay fees if you order stuff from the US, do you research, find out who the order is being shipped, and what fees you will be charged from teh different couriers, so you won't be suprised when it arrives...

USPS is the best ,canadian CPS fees for sending out has gone through the roof,no one seems to have a rym or reason why.I know costs me more to shipp to Canada than the USA?? i am in Canada it is:bs:

Here is a way to save some money on UPS charges. When you get the tracking number call UPS with your credit card and pay the brokerage/custom fees up front, by doing that they will waive the $4.25 COD charge, this COD charge is for them having to bill you for the fees, if you pay up front there is no need for them to bill you.
I recently bought some stuff in the US and did this with UPS and saved some cash, not much, but every bit counts.

I can understand peoples frustration with UPS, but if you have ever had stuff shipped thru them or have heard of their charges then you should know to expect this.

Their standard charge is about $35 + $4.50 COD charge + the tax on the item.

Thank you Thank you i will do.There service is darn good, but fees just not fair.

yeah, I don't really get it. I mean somebody bitches and complains about UPS....a business, which like any business, is out there to make money. Yet, this same person tries to sell bootleg copies of Copyrighted Mazda Workshop manuals burned on CD.

Talk about ripping people off.....hmmmmmm (2thumbs)

If you don't like UPS's fees....don't use them. Plain and simple.

If you can't find a retailer that's willing to ship from the US using another courier...then why not support a Canadian company instead?

LMAO. Ok buddy. I'm the knob? Who's the one selling bootleg workshop manuals? Call me all the names you want. I really don't care. I know I'm not the only one that realizes you've got things mixed up.
