Another Oil question

Hey ya'll I had two questions about oil from you more experienced guys. I actually have never done my own oil change but have installed my cai, header and exhaust, etc. and was looking on the forums about info. I just had a bad experience on stripping my dirt bikes drain bolt and I never did oil again after that. Am thinking of getting under there in a few weeks and changing the p5's out. I want to get the 626 oil filter and was wondering what the part number is or what year model I should do the search for when im at autozone or advanced. I usually do puralater gold and was wondering what number is? Also I was wondering what ya'll think about Rotella Oil? It looks like it has good reviews. I was thinking either Rotella or Mobile 1. I recently put castrol gtx and didnt like it too much, I actually thought it was worse than penzoil, which is what I usually been using. I know there mostly the same, penzoil has a bit more additives like paraffin's or something. Anyways Rotella looks good and I know shell is a solid company or should I go mobile 1? Also been using 10-30 now with oil burning slowly, any advice or help would be great. Thanks.

Oh and I saw its a 19 mm bolt, is that correct? just so I dont strip it again....

I have a bunch of FRAM oil filters for the 626 and the part number is PH7317. I don't know what the part number would be for the Purolator but all you need to do is ask for an oil filter for a 2002 Mazda 626 V6 (there is no 626 in 2003). (The 4 cylinder engine for the 626 uses the same filter as listed for our car.)

As far as stripping the drain plug goes,... I have an issue with over tightening everything,... I do better if I choke up on the ratchet handle to reduce my torque input.
The drain plug is a 19 mm so it will use a big wrench or ratchet handle, so choke up on the handle. It feels like you're giving it a really good reef that way.

The tightening torque for the drain plug is
30—41 Nm {3.0—4.2 kgfm, 22—30 ftlbf} (which is very little for such a big bolt head)

Over tightening the oil filter can be a pain when it comes time to remove it,... I tighten mine till it feels snug then back it off a bit.
