Another noob

I has a Speed 6 and just found this forum so I thought I'd say Hai! I don't have mods yet, but I'm looking at getting sum 20's 1st so it handles better. Gotta ditch the lip spoiler and go EVO style as well.

20s won't help the car handle better. 20s will most likely weigh more than the stockers. Get some lightweight 18s and a good set of tires instead if you want better handling.

Welcome to the board.

Yeah got to agree 20s are not going to help in the handling. You are going to be throwing around more weight with those 20s, will effect handling, braking, acceleration.

Welcome to the site.

I am going to agree with the previous two posters. I've pasted a topic below that you should check out before wasting your money on those 20's. As you will see, that user greatly regreted having purchased a larger wheel because of how much more they weighed. He is now unhappy with his car because it does not feel anything like it should.

welcome.. get some super light weight 16s for best handling and weight reduction

What about 19's? 18's look so small on the car. Maybe some 19 Advan's? Are they light enough? I thought bigger wheels with the smaller profile tires and a slammed suspension was best for handling. That's what my Honda/Acura friends have told me. This is my first real performance car so I want it to be done right. I was looking into BC coilovers with the autoexe sways and braces. My dad is paying for it as long as I don't get engine mods he said. Who makes the best body kit for the Speed6?

in my opinion this car doesnt need a body kit ( i never really liked them, kinda rice)

the lines are really nice already. get some rims and drop it with maybe the front grill replaced.

Step 1:
Stop talking to your Honda/Acura friends.

Step 2:
Get a job and pay for your mods yourself.

The bigger the rim, the more rotating mass you have because the rim materials weigh more than what's in your tires. Bigger wheels are for people that just want big rims to say they have them. The bigger they are, the worse the performance will get. 18s will only look small if you get a low profile tire on it. A tire with a bit more meat on it will fill out the wheel well.

I don't think the Speed6 needs a body kit either. The body lines are clean as they are, suit it well. The money that can go into a kit is better suited in those coilovers.
