2010 CX-9 Grand Touring AWD
Picked up a 2010 GT AWD, white, with most of the bells and whistles. I just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone for the info on this site. It was very valuable.

Also, going with a CX-9 over the other vehicles we looked at a was a no brainer. It blows away the Pilot, Veracruz, Highlander and the GM triplets. We love it!!!

Anyway, thanks again.

Did you have any of the GM crossovers? I have had an Acadia and now have an Enclave, but I am so intrigued by the CX-9. We are really tempted to get one this week, but I am nervous because I do like the GM models.

Nope, we drove all three, with the Acadia on an extended test drive. My brother-in-law just bought an Enclave and he loves it and I think it is really nice and rides quiet. For me it came to driving dynamics and excluding the Enclave, the Traverse and the Acadia felt a little flimsy with regards to fit and finish and materials. The Enclave is also is more expensive than the CX-9, or at least the top-of-the-line model is.

I think the Acadia looks good, and they all have more room, and you can get the second row captain's chairs/buckets, which is nice, but like I mentioned, I liked how the CX-9 drove much better and, and right or wrong, I could not pull the trigger on a GM. JMO

I got an Acadia when they first came out, and I loved it. We had the second row captain's chairs, and it was great. My favorite part of it was the ride. Very sporty for such a large vehicle.

I had an opportunity to get my Enclave at an amazing deal with even more bells and whistles. It is really nice and looks fabulous, but it seems a lot bigger than the Acadia and drives a bit 'loose'.

I am a little disappointed that there are no captain's chairs in the CX-9, but with three kids, it would be nice to go on a trip with everyone in the second row. No shoving suitcases in front of everyone's seats. :)

If resale value is any measure of quality, consider this. 2007/2008 CX9s with 20-30k miles are still pulling resale prices of $22-$25 grand and more in some cases. I wonder what the GM models would command two or three years down the road?

I know trade-in value doesn't mean much, but I'm being offered over $28,000 for my 2008 Enclave with over 30,000 miles. KBB retail price is $31,000 plus. I think it is the only GM crossover really holding that kind of value, though.

It really is the only thing holding me back. If the Enclave is going to hold that kind of value, I'm not sure it's smart to get rid of it.

Welcome.

(burnout)welcome to the family, the cx9 gets better as the miles roll on. and oh yea, i have white one too. enjoy!

Have a white 2007 sport. Love the looks and the car. Gm just gave me 1700 bucks to spend on top of their rebates, i am considering an Acadia or a Traverse. Have about a month yet to decide. Not sure i want to pull the trigger even though im having some minor issues with the CX9 (wind noise drivers side, some squeeks and squaks in the suspension, and the brakes are squeeling in reverse, :-) ), and of course the dealer says everything is fine just some minor annoinances, grrrrrrrrrr. Not sure what i will do, but need to make up my mind soon before time runs out. At least it gives me something to think about. But I love the CX9 and Im sure you will also, best looking crossover on the road today.

Why not get a new 2010 CX9?
Deals are good right now,
near invoice pricing + 0% APR.
'07 models have many more small issues (like most 1st models).

Two are good choices, Arcadia and Traverse. One is a great choice, the CX9. But, it depends on what your preferences and your family requirements are: kids, pets, towing, hauling, etc. Seems like you are leaning towards the CX9 though, so follow your heart.

I agree, the CX9 is the best choice, but the problem i have is the Mazda dealership. Having dealth with them now for only 2 months, I will not go back there and purchase a used wheelbarrow. Service is horrible, the salesman are not very knowledgeable, plus i need to drive over 40 miles to get there. There are other Mazda dealers, but they are at least 70 miles from me. I am surrounded with GM, Toyota, chrystler and so on, but no Mazda. I will not bore everyone and go into details as to why they are bad, but that is the main reason i probably wont buy another CX9. I totally agree, the car is great, best looking of all the crossovers, but need a decent dealer and service department to take care of it.

So move to south Florida already. There are 6 Mazda dealers within 30 miles of me. :) Be well my friend!
