2001 Mazda Protege LX2.0
Hey, I'm Travis. I come from a family of Mazda lovers (parents owned a B2200 and a 626 while I was growing up and now own a Mazda5) and I am the proud owner of a 2001 Mazda Protege LX2.0. I just purchased this car back in December, but naturally, I love it. I have the manual tranny and now much else. It's most likely the base-ist 2.0 possible. I'm starting to think about getting into a little more appearance-based mods for now. Anyhow, if I have any questions about anything, I know you guys will most likely know all the answers.

Since I have black door handles, mirrors and door trim, I was thinking of blacking out my emblems (I know, it's been done many times before) and de-badging the rest of the emblems on the trunk. Definitely going to go with some nice and dark tint, but sadly won't be doing the front 2 windows as it is very illegal here and the tickets aren't worth it. Maybe fogging the taillights? I have plans, haha.

sounds good man (thumb), i would suggest shaving the side moldings too, and of course you have to drop your ride a couple of inches haha

Shave the moldings huh?

Someone should definitely show a picture of what that looks like. And also tell me how much work I'm in for. Haha, although I find myself pretty car savvy, there are some things I just won't touch without details and how-to's.

Oh, for sure. This will definitely come a little later. I plan to start mods in the next month or so. And don't worry, there will be lots of pictures of the process.
