Another Happy New P5 Owner

I am still new at this...When did they bring out the 2002.5? And what are the differences in it from the 2002 and 2003?

heres is what i know. Should be a thread on the difference specs somewhere in the forum...

US:
2002 :
2002.5 : side markers, mags, A/T have a sportshift mode, not sure about the sub woofer in the spare tires
2003 :

CANADA:
2002:

2002.5 : 6-speaker stereo (adds tweeters in sail panels), remove cupholder cover (i think), add sport shift for auto
2003 : keep 6-speaker stereo but add optional subwoofer, roof rack standard but not shipped on the car, add Laser Blue color, add leather (unless someone can prove they have a 2002.5 w/ leather)
2003.5 : roof rack not available (no rack mounting runners) but subwoofer now standard.

Yeah so the 2003.0 is the optimal year definitely, but 2002.5 is great if you don't love Laser Blue.. but who doesn't?

precisely. I'd say my 2003 Laser Blue 5spd w/ factory leather and moonroof is pretty damn rare.

try and find a 2003 or 2003.5 white p5 that's 5spd w/ leather and moonroof, now THAT's rare, (or it is neways here in canada)

I'd love a 2003 white P5 with side airbags, abs, moonroof, no factory sub, roof rack, and no leather.. oh and not used.

Anyone have one lying around? I'd pay near MSRP for it

Oh yeah, I've got SAB/ABS too. Basically I have every option except the atx, polished wheels, and alarm. Thats why I don't get upset hearing about people who paid much less for their cars...because I know I got exactly what I wanted.

lmao.. same here...i'm hunting for one rite now.. i found a few 03 white p5s, but they r auto, and i'm looking for 5spd, and the only 5 spd i found where 02, so i'm thinking of getting the 02 version and do an 03 conversion (canada style) black housing front lights, change fenders to have the side markers/blinkers, rims will be changed to some aftermarket ones, interior can stay as is except for sounds system

In the U.S. I'm pretty sure leather wasn't introduced until 2003 but I could be mistaken.

2002.5. The 2002.5 got most of the little changes of the 2003, like the cupholders and the nice leather knob and stuff.

Here is a picture of the sticker in my door frame:

It says it was manufactured in 05/02 and I just realized that I have the 6 speakers with the tweeters in the sail panel. Does that make it a 2002.5?

Yeah that's definitely an 02.5. Cool! Mine was manufactured in june I thinkm but no leather for me. I don't mind, I like the cloth seats a lot.

Yup, manufacturered in 2002, new cupholders, 6-speaker stereo, new wheel design. It's a 2002.5.

So I guess leather was an option for 2002.5s.

I just bought a 2003, dark blue, 5 speed and really like it. I wish I could have found leather and a sun/moon roof but I took what I could get. It's tough enough to find a manual.

Welcome!!! yay more P5s!!! Yeah you can't be too picky with them, gotta take what you can find these days. It's a pitty I didn't get around to selecting my next car until it wasn't possible to find a new one still.

You will love it just like I love mine. I wish I could've found one with a sunroof as well, but there's always aftermarket! LOL! Enjoy it!
