Another Happy New P5 Owner

Hello!

I've had my P5 for almost a month now and absolutely LOVE it! I had been driving a minivan for about 3 years and was ready for something sportier...more ME. I am impressed with the room in this car!

I got a yellow 5-speed with the leather interior. This was my first 5-speed so I had to brush up on my driving to enjoy the car more. I knew the basics but have it pretty much down now and am enjoying the hell out of driving it.

Someone had already installed an Injen cold air induction and Magnaflow muffler and tips. I am hoping to add a full Magnaflow exhaust & short shifter to it soon along with some new rims and wheels...still trying to decide which rims I want. I will also be upgrading from the stock stereo system and adding a DVD player with monitors in the headrests as soon as I can pin my brother down to do it (he does custom audio/video/security installations). I'm also thinking about having him install remote start but am a little afraid to with the manual transmission. LOL!

Wow, that car looks identical to my neighbors...well he doesn't have leather or a 5spd but his is yellow with the polished rims and he has almost the exact same dual tip muffler.

Welcome aboard. I can only imagine the fun you are having driving this compared to a minivan for the last 3 years. Not saying anything bad about minivans but the P5 sure is a blast to take thru the curves. And you can still fit a decent amount of stuff in the hatch to boot.

yeah they just dont recomend it because if you leave it in gear but if you leave the car in nuetral with the ebrake on you can have remote start

Thank you all! I am reading and familiarizing myself with the boards. I will definitely be checking out the Georgia board and look into some of the meets.

I am looking into getting a new tail pipe - that one I have is obnoxious. LOL! Yeah, you can have the remote start as long as you park the car in neutral with the e-brake on. My brother also checked into the neutral safety wire and it's there so that makes it even better. I can now have remote start sooner!

In the U.S. I'm pretty sure leather wasn't introduced until 2003 but I could be mistaken.

When was the new style wheel introduced? 2002.5 or 2003?
