That test was a joke. The Toyota Celica was rated as a sports car?! Then they said the test wouldn't include exotics including Porsche, but the Cayenne was listed in the report.
As far as the STi having the lowest mileage. Who cares. No one that I know that bought one bought it as a economy car.
^^^i believe the owners care. when i bought my car, i was a *little* concerned about the gas mileage, and now i'm almost horrified at it. at least the STi has a much larger tank... i have to fill up after every 200 miles or so
I also saw an article on CNN that the formula used for the mpg was from the 70s and that there have been a lot of complaints about the mpg not been close what the manufacturer advertises. So they are asking for a new formula.
damn...that is pretty bad. but you know what they say...you gotta pay to play. if my car ran those kinds of numbers stock, i would be a little disapointed, but damn...the car just rocks!
heh ... if i had an EVO or an STi i wouldnt really care bout mpg. You don't get a 4 banger close to 300hp without it drinkin a bit more fuel than a Firefly
