Anodize Red valve cover

Anyone anodized their valve cover?? i gunna go buy the anodize red spray paint tomorrow and spray my valve cover on my next day off. If anyone has done this can you post pics and if you know which anodize brand is best to use. Thankkss

You should take it to a shop to get powdercoated. Its only $75.

They spray can anodize will flake super easy.

The best anodize brand is going to a shop and having them do a real anodize finish. Rattle can anodize ftl. Just PC your valve cover, like HKPRO, said.

+3 on the powdercoat. I did that to mine and it looks great, even a year later. Beware, the reds often don't look that great. I was going to get red (to match my car), but when the guy showed me some samples I decided pretty quickly to go with black.

Here is mine from back in the day. It was Rattle can Duplicolor. Stayed on for quite awhile with no flaking.

i think im gunna go with the anodize can. i not really willing to pay to have it powdercoated when i might not keep it that color.

Anodizing is a chemical process; there's really no way to mimic an anodized finish. So, don't expect an anodized look from a rattle can. Not hating, I <3 rattle cans, lol. Just lettin you know... ;)

yeah im not expecting it to come out like a part you buy anodized already. i just like the red color that it creates. lol. idk everyone like their own thing
