Annoying Squeak

Well my car is relatively quiet inside except for a squeak sound coming from the front passenger side of the car. The glovebox is secure and their is nothing else I can see or feel that is causing the noise to be heard. The sound comes and goes on it's own and it happens on a variety of different roads. I think it might be coming from under the dash or something. I hope someone can provide any input on the problem. Thanks.

It's the seat belt. The buckle down by the emergency brake.

It has happened to a bunch of people on this forum and me. I just learned to tune it out. I'm sure you could do something to make it stop if you really wanted to.

have the same problem on my speed3.
its not the seat belt, its coming from under the dash, in the center.
sounds like a cricket chirp.

yeah I agree it doesn't sound like the seatbelt. I really want to get rid of the sound though, it's the only thing pissing me off.

someone told me it is the door panel on the passenger side, i have the same squeak

so i think i finally found my squeak this morning. its the side part of the rear seat on the passenger side. i lifted up the bottom bench part and there is a bolt that holds that side part on and it is loose enough i can turn with my fingers. i didn't have tools on me to tighten it this morning but rest asure i will get to that later and hope that solves my problems. i thought i was going to go nuts from the squeaking this morning.

Is this the bolt that holds the side bolsters ??

Mine seems tight, as i took those off (and tightened it after i'm done) when i took the rear deck out to add more padding...kinda solved the darn rear deck rattle for now..

The squeak is really pissing me off as the days go by...going to try to add more padding behind the glove box area

yeah it was my side bolsters if thats what they are called. i will do more inspecting but i believe that is my cause since it was so loose. think i'll go around and check all bolts.

Just picked up my MS3 brand new no less than a month ago and what's the deal. Crackling from the cowl, right speaker/door rattles, something definately from under the passenger seat. I try to tune these things out, but I want more out of my Mazdaspeed. This speed impresses everyone but when you drive the car and hear all this rattling... it really gets to you.
