Android 4.3 now displays song title and album info through BT!

A small bit of happiness with my Nexus 4 and CX=5 today I upgraded my Nexus 4 to Jelly Bean 4.3 the other day. Driving today I had a chance to test it out in my car. I was really surprised to see that it is now showing the track name and album name. Previously with 4.2, I only got the music icon, no song info was reported. This worked for music played through the stock google music player and through TuneIn Radio. I couldn't skip back and forth with tracks in TuneIn Radio, but I think that is an issue with the app. I can't remember if it worked before.

I did read that 4.3 updated the Bluetooth stack. Guess the fix came along with that.

Yep, I love it. Got my Nexus 4, my HTC One (using Google Play Experience ROM), and (old) Nexus 7 all on 4.3.

Nice i wish motorola would update my droid 4 from 4.1, but im not holding my breath.

My Nexus 4 also started showing track details after the Jelly Bean 4.3 update.
I believe this is due to the 4.3 update including Bluetooth AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) 1.3 support - see here - http://www.android.com/about/jelly-bean/

I also think that AVRCP 1.4 support would have allowed full control of the music on the Nexus 4 - i.e being able to change Albums/Folders, as well as showing track names and going back/forward within an album.
I wonder why Google only went as far as 1.3 at this time?

It would also have been nice if Google had included Bluetooth MAP (Message Acesss Profile) on the Nexus 4 4.3 update, which would have enabled us Nexus 4 owners to use the Phone SMS Message download and readout function included on the CX-5, which remains frustratingly greyed out.
