Amp shipping Issues

I don't want half back, and I didn't hook up an obviously broken amp.
Like Virginia said, the box was destroyed and there were parts rattling around inside it. I unpacked it far enough to see that the amp was not in good, much less perfect, condition.

Do you plan on ripping me off?

wow i was wondering how this thread went from 4 posts to 20+ so damn fast

why to completey thread jack it with crap that should have stayed in PM's :(

Yes I did. You sold me a broken amp, and you know it.

BTW, Didn't you insure it for 500 bucks? are you trying to make money off of this ordeal?

Your PM:

Thanks,

Again, you never unpacked far enough to see exactly what was wrong - nor did you even check to see if it worked (it does).

You even went above me to one of your friends at a shop to see if they could fix it (what did you tell them was wrong since you didnt open or try it) - and wanted me to pick up the tab.

As the amp stood in your hands, it was as you put it " perfect working order"

haha, I actually PM'd Bigj884 and apologized.
If you check my posts, you'll see that this flaming and whining s*** isn't my style. I'm just fed up with getting burned over the internet, and this thread ended up where it looks like it's gonna happen YET AGAIN.

OK guys, let's keep this communication via PM's from this point on. I will be the 'middleman' so to speak, and hopefully we can work something out. Both of you are respected members here, so I am sure this can be settled.

But quit jacking this thread (smash) (smash) (smash)

I don't have a friend with a shop.
I contacted jrodhotrod, a forum member, for advice because he has all JL stuff in his car. I was trying to avoid this b/s.

No i sold you a working/perfect amp -- ups broke it in shipping, but either way you ended up with your "WORKING ORDER" amp

Yes it was insured -- for what it would cost to replace should it be destroyed to NON working order in shipping. I insure EVERYTHING I ship - you can even ask bigj884 since he bought my entire truck setup (install and subs) - he got his packages in FL with no probs at all (I just need to send him his install manual)

EDIT: i forgot we are in florida. . . sound advice is what its called

wait the thread is dead now and i enjoy the drama keep it public

make him start a new thread if he wants an answer to his question;)

For the record. THIS deal is the "straw that broke the camel's back" that inspired me to take my P5 back to stock.

I'm done posting about this. If I get my money back, I'm stoked. If not I'll see what I can do as far as the law in concerned. I refuse to go down without a fight.

You know....I had ever intention to give you your money back tomorrow (since I had told you to wait till after the weekend) However, instead of keeping this in PM's you came out on the board - you bad mouthed me and now your just going to get your working order amp back. Thats all you wanted in the first place - and thats what I received back from you. If you want to talk about this further - you know how to use the PM button.

dude girly you are WEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAK. This does sound like a setup. "perfect working order" notice the first word, P E R F E C T. a broken cooling fin aka something used to help cool the amp would therefore remove the "prefect" from it violating the original deal. He sent you the amp, UPS is handling YOUR claim. you're not right to hold on to his money. you have the amp, he should have his money. People like you are the reason people like me don't buy anything off these forums anymore. like you said it wasnt your fault, well fine, it wasnt his either. once the amp showed up with the fin snapped that was violation of YOUR agreement. so while you wait for a 500$ check from UPS he gets completely screwed. Let me ask you this, would YOU buy an amp with cosmetic damages???? you know DAMN well you wouldn't. even if the amp powers up. it violates the word PERFECT therefore violating the deal. Natey's a good guy who has never caused a problem on this or any other board i've seen him on. I've never even spoken to the guy but this bullsh*t aint his style. if he's going to this length it must mean something.

umm protege5gurly you shouldn't be laying the blame on UPS. they wouldn't have been able to break it if it was packaged perfectly, and even if it is their fault that's poor conduct to be blaming them and giving natey a hard time

I can't agree, it takes a BAJESUS of force to smash one of those fins off. My guess is it took a tuble off of the trucks shelf and ended up on a concreate floor. s*** happens, give her a break.

your all nuts.

Although I must say, I agree with protege girly the most here. Its not her fault if UPS killed the damn thing in shipping, however, as it was insured, nate should be given his money back. Obviously this has to go to UPS claims and that takes time. He should get his money back while your in the process of that.

Also, although the amp might power up, being in working order includes being in good physical condition. If there is also a part rattling around in the amp then something is not going to be working within spec, in other words not in working order.

Everyone chill, give the man his money back, everyone send each other a Vermont teddy bear to say sorry and a 1sty grounding kit, and put it behind you.;)

Hopefully you will both be mature and settle this rationaly.

Natey said something was rattling in the amp. Which indicates that the amp wouldn't be in perfect working order. Also he didn't get his money back, please give him his money back.

Tis true -- you could glue it back on and you would never know under that plexi panel

The ONLY thing broken is the fin -- the amp works 100% otherwise

EDIT: Just so this doesnt get locked/deleted - Natey got his money back like i had told him in the first place - to wait till after the weekend.

What seems kind of odd is that she still has the amp. In all my experiences with UPS claims they keep the broken merchandise (unless something has changed). They don't give you a check and let you keep the item. If that were the case, it would be extremely easy for people to pull off a scam.

She gets a check from UPS, keeps his money and returns the amp to him. Basically making out with double the money. That's exactly why they keep the broken merchandise. Their check is basically buying from you what they broke.

Just figured I'd throw my 2 cents in there.
