(uhm) (uhm) (uhm)
wanna trade?

no. i just hate all the problems caused by turbo'ing and modding the car. i know some of them are my fault, etc etc, but it still doesnt change the fact that it sucks.

completely stock u can get the 8 for about 25-26k. and thats sticker price too. juss take off the 18in rims, the factory kit, and a few other overpriced options.

Let's see- 50:50 weight distribution, unique powerplant, great handling, sports coupe that seats 4 (comfortably), 0-60 in under 6.5 seconds, can stay with M3 on the track and I like the looks. Gas mileage is what kills it for me, otherwise I'd be considering a trade-in.

wait, the rx8 is as fast as the m3? also it doesnt seat 4 comfortably i dont think unless you are about 5'4".

i sat in the back of a rx8 after adjusting the front seat to my likeing and i was comfortable with my 5'11"

i sat comfortably in the backseat of a fully packed RX-8, with a big guy sitting in front of me.

and for 25k id rather have a rotary than a WRX. just my style though, doesnt means it a better car or whatever. blah, who cares. cars are all bulls***.

so mazda is underrating these things now? i read on mazdas site says 238hp for the 6spd and 197hp for the auto. thats a far cry from 230+ WHP. and i disagree about the rotary and everything to love. i owned a TURBO FC and that thing was the biggest money pit (yes even bigger than my p5) and biggest headache i have ever owned. i loved the car, but it was nothing but problems, and it had only 70 some thousand miles. plus rotarys are KNOWN to suck at emissions. etc etc. im not impressed.

I like the fact the Mazda is putting a Rotary car back on the road. Hopefully they will suprise us with a performance minded RX-7 rebirth in the future.

I have a Turbo FC and had 30K to blow. So I dumped it all into the FC and came up with a super reliable 400RWHP monster that will outhandle anything its encountered.

Sorry for your bad rotary experiance. Its an addiction to me. Its great to get so much power out of such a small engine.

So from where I am standing I think your car is slow, handles like a shopping cart and looks like something my mom would drive..........o.k. not really but you get my point.

Its all relative my friend. I think the RX-8 has cool lines and its refreshing to see a car that stands out.

The RX-8 stock handles like a dream oh and BTW they are kicking ass in the Grand Am Cup beating out higher HP cars like the BMW's.

have you guys ever driven one? the car is a 4 door 4 seater (and i fit in the back @ 5'11" and 200lbs) with a few mods like tires , intake and exhaust it turns it into a different car. It would smoke a WRX on a windy road and it does'nt have a weak ass first gear. If you want to just go even faster get a FD or FC, if you want a cool 4 door with a rotary it is the way to go. We are getting 317hp on the engine dyno out of a old n/a 13b we are hoping for around 350hp and up (engine dynoed) with the new 13b. 350 all motor HP out of a 1.3l motor is pretty damm crazy

I've seen them for around 25k for the "base" model with the rotary that makes even LESS power than 238. And for 25k, that drops the RX-8 in a competitive class yet again....against the RSX-S (23k loaded), WRX and SRT-4 (less than 20k loaded with factory incentives...) all of which I'd rather have.

You guys need to drive one, and realize it handles better then cars that cost twice as much. :D Remember, thats Mazda's thing, handling.
That is the reason why I prefer the RX-8 over all it's competitors. What's 300 ponies if you cant slap the vehicle into a curve very very fast. The power is enough and the car is at least 200 pounds lighter than it's competitors beside the S2000 honda that's a POS to me.

And remeber, there are plans for a more powerful turbocharged version of the Rx-8, mazda rumours usually end up being true, so hang in there guys.
