Am I doing something wrong with the display settings?

Or is this the normal display?

In threads I've posted in

"You have 1 post(s) in this thread, last 04-25-2006"

and

"Go to first new post"

in front of every friggin thread that has new posts?

Are there no icons for these type things as visual clues instead of it all written out?

And is there a way to eliminate all the rep point text under every profile in each post. It is ridiculously annoying and a waste of bandwidth.

Visually, the display is difficult to view and distracting.

This is not the first forum I've used/viewed and I have tried all sorts of things in my profile to try to fix some of this stuff.

Ok, I changed some stuff around and blocked images in firefox and that seems to help.

There were issues with this for the past couple weeks, but as of a week ago they were fixed for me. I dunno

I've seen it for a while when I have read the forum and just finally got tired of looking at it and figured I'd post(b****) about it. Blocking the images fixed a lot but it makes other aspects rather difficult.
