alt how to

hey I cant seem to find a writeup I read once on here about changing the alt it had nice photos & everything. Ive checked the how to stickies and used search and I can't seem to hunt it down.

also, how much of a PITA is this going to be?

Removal instructions should be in the shop manual. I don't think it's super easy, but someone who has done it will chime in, I'm sure.

It's not bad, there are two bolts that hold it in. Sorry I can't get pics but once you remove the cruise control and strut bar, loosen the belt and remove the bolt at the top of the alt and then the one on the bottom. The one on the bottom will be the worst, I removed it from the bottom just easier that way. Unplug the harness and unbolt the wire going to the batt. There will be a round cylinder on the fire wall that has two hoses going into it, slid that up and outta the bracket and move it aside then wiggle the alt out going up. Repeat in reverse for install.
