alpine upgrade

hey guys i am upgrading my system i have the stock stereo im not replacing it but im putting 2 alpine component type r in the front and the regular type r in back but my question is .. are the tweeters for the components gonna fit in the same spot the stock ones are? i got the components for 160 and the regular ones for 80 is that pretty good?

The type r tweeters can fit in the sail panels IF, you modify the sail panels.

You need to dremel or cut off all the mounting stuff for the old tweeters, and then clue the mounting hardware for the type R's in place.

This is how I did mine. Looks 100% stock, and sounds great.

i have the same exact setup...

OP, you will see when you remove the sail panels. it's pretty intuitive.

there is a molded bracket on the backside of the sail panel. Once you remove it, you need to cut away all the stuff that held the old tweeter in place..

I'll try to remember and take a picture of it tomorrow..
