2014 Mazda CX-5 GT
Hi everyone! I am a newbie to this forum and Mazda! Just Picked up my first Mazda car, 2014 Mazda Cx-5 GT last week. I noticed the driver's side mirror and hood vibration bring it back to the dealer here in Canada and they are still waiting for more complains from Canada side to confirmed the issue for the 2014. 1 more things that I noticed, the allignment was off a bit to the right and the dealer confirmed that and fixed that. However the mechanic do test drove 3 other new CX-5 in the lot and all 3 have the same problems thou all of them is GT model. They will try on the other model (Sport & GS) when they have them. Just wonder if all the brothers/sisters here have the same issue as they all come from the same factory?

Have a grand touring built the same month of yours and have no alignment issues. Mirror and hood flutter is a common issue.

No problems there, was particularly aware of alignment since trading in a problem Hyundai, notorious brand known for inner tire wear and no camber adjustment, as are a lot of cars today. So far so good after 4k miles.

My 2014 CX-5 GS has (had?) the shaking driver's side mirror and hood problem. North Hill Mazda (Calgary, Canada) says they fixed the problem by balancing all four wheels. I have not had a chance to road test the CX-5 at highway speed since the wheel balancing but will post the results after the road test. I'm doubting that the problem was due to wheel balance because I couldn't feel the whole car shaking (like the mechanic could) and one would expect the passenger-side mirror to shake also if the wheel's were out of balance.

My alignment is clearly off and pulling left, too. Dealer wants almost $100 to do it, even though I have like 100 miles on the vehicle and made initial complaint since 40 miles. They also wanted 1 hour of diagnostics time to disable my DRL's, something we can fortunately do ourselves now that the how-to has been posted.

For someone who didn't even negotiate and bought a car at sticker price it's appalling how Mazda's dealer network treats their customers. Really holds them back in the US market.

I hope you didn't think that they would respect you more for paying full price and not negotiating a better deal? If anything they might label you as a push-over. I know, harsh but true.

In any case, if the car did not show symptoms of misalignment on your initial drive off the lot it's unlikely it became misaligned without some large impact or hard leveraging against a curb. So it's unlikely the fault of the manufacturer and Mazda wouldn't pay for a new windshield if your car took a rock in the first couple of weeks either. They are an automaker, not an insurance company. The warranty covers their mistakes, not others.

Same here.

Mine pulled to the left. Dealer said - normal all 'in specs'

I went to GoodYear shop for alignment and paid for it. It did improve but the car is not perfect.

The dealer does not give a frick once they sell the car. There is really nothing one can do except endless bitching.

No alignment issues with my 2013 GT (on 19" wheels) so far after 25K miles. (If any future alignments and balancing needed, it will be done by my preferred shop, not by dealer)

No issues on my 2014 GT after about 2k miles. I do have the driver mirror shake, but no hood shake as my production date was 11/13. It was resolved by then.
