In Jersey its getting ridiculous. My sister bought a POS house, 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, that is 50 years old for 320,000.

The house across the street, which is newer and bigger, sold for 675,000. When I say bigger I mean like 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths.

An PUD (shared lot) 3b/2ba is selling for 760,000...and they don't even have their own lots....I live in Arcadia, and that's why I am moving outta here man..It's nice but really can't afford it

Yeah this whole home owning thing is scaring me. I have a decent job and I want to buy a house soon, but at the rate I am saving it would take me 6 years to get a 20% downpayment.

Are property taxes high in Ohio? And what size lot do you have? Are you going to have a nice big yard?

lots not huge. its 60x123 ft. property tax is like 500/half i think. something like that.

the reason its so cheap now is because cleveland's economy is kinda in the dumper. but i work for a company that has NEVER laid off an employee, since being formed in 1937. they currently have over 26,000 employees. im not too worried about job security.

we have the 20% right now. everything else we earn until june 15th is just gravy.

been a while since i updated this thread, but the house is flying along. siding is up, drywall is up. they start priming/painting tomorrow. flooring goes down next week..then its just the finishing touches, closet shevles, cabinets, doors, etc. the image station album is up to date. this thread is not....but i dont want to update it with huge pics again....

yep i was at my ex's in pittsburg and we drove to a drift event at beaverrun , then to mentor to meet with people at hooters and back to pittsburgh all in one day haha
