Alarm sensitivity

MSP, The BLACKNESS!
I read the thread about the young ladies MP3 being broken into.
In that thread there was talk of a control mechanism for the alarm. One that would increase the sensitivity. I have the factory code alarm (in my MSP) and I cant find any dial around the LED that is on top of steering collum or beneath it. I pulled on the handle right after I bought it and it went nuts but I cant seem to get it to go off again even when it is armed and the led is blinking on the steering collum.

Any ideas?

the dial is not anywhere near the LED. crawl up underneath there with a flash light and check for it. the black boxhas an LED on ther that will light up when you tap it.

speaking of the black box. The last time i crawled under there, i didn't notice the 'button' to kill the alarm.
where, under the dash is it suppose to be?
closer to the gas pedal or clutch?
how big is the 'kill' button?

I have not looked for it yet, but for the sake of protection of our cars, I ask that anyone with an answer to this, please e-mail him the answer...just to make it less easy to steal our cars (if that makes sense, cause it wouldn't be hard for a true theif to take our car)

Please don't post the answer to this on the internet. Thanks.

(I know the info is out there, but the less times we print it, the more searching one would have to do for it)
