when unlocking your car and you hear 3 beeps, what sensor went off in our cars?

1 beep?

2 beeps?

4 beeps?

4 means some loud sound set it off...I get that one all the time. One of the other ones is probably the shock sensor. You could try opening a door when the alarm is on to find out which one that is.

If you check in your information given to you when you got it (either owners manual or separate paper about alarm) it'll tell you what the beeps mean. I'm too lazy to go to my glove box & look myself right now!

check the manual, if it beeps when unlocking your doors the alarm was tripped.

MackDadam and xxMSPxx your alarms must have never got tripped yet.

oh well, that beeping is annoying anyway. i do have something in the glove box though, that plugs into the alarm and there is an off and on switch...is that how to turn the beep on??

if you only click your remote once it ONLY locks the doors, if you quickly hit the remote a second time you will hear another beep which means the alarm is set.

i was hoping someone knew what these meant, guess its time to put the beer down and go find out.....arghh

i think 4 beeps means a door was opened im not sure what 3 means. It is in the alarm booklet with your owners manual.

The alarm gets set even if you just hit the lock button once.

really..... i never knew that. this would make it possible to use a Turbo timer

i have an 03 and it beebs when loud noises occur but you can turn down the sensor by going under the dashboard. The unit is located on the steering column, to make it less sensitive just turn the knob to the left.
You can tap it to see how sensitive it is while you are under there. A red light will indicate it.
