An exhaust will do nothing but makes lots of noise. To get the full benefits from an exhaust, you should also have an intake and some kind of headers as well.
I have never ever, heard of a car with a factory turbo that the exhaust was not one of the best first upgrades. It will give the turbo better spool time period. So even if for some strange reason it does not increase HP it will still give a more agressive TQ curve. And no one makes "headers" for the new gen speeds yet so that is not even an option. Im not trying to flame anyone, and i might even be wrong, but i doubt mazda enginered the best exhaust for this car from the factory.
