Airmack, Welcome to the fourm

Yes Yes... NoS stickers help also... I will admit... I mean come on... I would never mess with a little riced out Civic sporting a 40" NoS sticker on the side with an apparent 1" exhaust tip and no motor mods what-so-ever. I mean damn... that car has to be fast right mang?!?!? Ph33r

Oh, here is my baby by the way...

Do you think it will preform better than a front mount?
it will be easier to do then the front mount, and should u need to go to the dealer its not hard to change back (shady)

Yeah, that is for sure. I guess it would be better to have a top mount because people will not have a clue that it is turbo... Well, at least non-Mazda people...
$600 for 20 more HP and lb/ft of torque sounds good to me. And a intake and exhaust will add another 20 HP... DAMN...

best thing to do is figure out what u want to do first, then dyno the car before and after. that was my first mistake, i boostd before i dyno the car at stock. maybe intake first, then exhaust, then the IC or what u think is the best route.

Sorry, but I am a little new to this... Does the order of what I get matter for the most gains?

when i did my car i went exhaust, intake, header, and then said boostd. everybosy has different thought on what the best mod can be. all 3 will incease perform.

the top mount right now is the best option for an intercooler upgrade. with the way the air ducting is designed and the size of the top mount upgrade you will see excellent gains and reduced heat soak. pm Nutari, he is a mazdaspeed3 owner here with the intercooler and he is a big fan of the results on his own car.

part of the problem we are encountering with the MAF sensor on this car is that it is very sensitive. this is why you see few if any front mount kits for this car or the mazdaspeed6. it might ultimately be required to use even mild engine management to get the most out of a front mount kit on these engines. we're experimenting with a few solutions on the MAF sensor to wreak some power out of it. there were similar issues with even air intakes or different air filter elements on the new mazdas which we're working around.

feel free to pm or call us anytime with questions!

While it technically "does not matter" what order you get your mod's in, I would sit down and really think about what you are trying achieve out of the car. Drag Racing? Road Racing? Auto-x? Street Driveability? Reliablility? Show? The mods that you go with should match the goal.

For instance, if you you are going for drag racing or road racing, then I would definately say go with a front mount, becuase you can go larger on the turbo. You'll have greater turbo lag, but in those applications, you don't necessarily need the power down low.

Now if it's auto-x, then stick with a smaller or stock turbo and get an upgraded TMIC, as you'll want to be in your turbo's "sweet spot" in low and mid range.

If it's all about show, then by all means, go FMIC.

Also, I wouldn't buy into the "this oil adds 10 HP" and "this flitsamajigthing Valve gives you 20 HP" Unless you've seen dyno charts to prove beyond a doubt that those parts do give you that amount of HP at the wheels, then don't be surprised when you dyno after all these "20 hp" parts and you've only got 13 WHP combined from them.

Exhaust first... free up the back side... then boost up the front side... other way around can cause you to join the ZOOM ZOOM BOOM club if you aren't careful. Compression with no way out = trouble. My opinion of course...

No.

An exhaust will do nothing but makes lots of noise. To get the full benefits from an exhaust, you should also have an intake and some kind of headers as well.

....Like I said... free up the back side so you can work up the front side.. doing it the other way around is useless as you will have compression etc and no way to get it out in an efficient manner.

Exhaust first... not sure how restrictive the MS3 is on the exhaust but if it was anything like the MSP, then it is a no brainer. The MSP had HORRIBLE exhaust bottlenecks stock...
