The idle problem is a hit and miss issue. What i mean by that is, a lot of customers are not having any idle problems while some are, so it seems to be car/setup specific. So to answer the question, yes the idle issue can be fixed, but it must be fixed on an individual basis, meaning that you need to install and run it first before we can determine how, if even needed, to adjust the idle settings. On the 440c note our unit is capable of running them and infact one of the guys on here, real name orlando from tampa no less, was using it to run those injectors. A map will be a breeze to make if we could get a car to set it up on...on his setup i believe we cut all the values by 50%. Pricing is $310 plus shipping, either 10( most east coast cities) or 11(rural addresses and western zones) bucks via UPS or DHL w/ insurance.

to put things into perspective, I had *ONE* idle issue that happened a few weeks ago. A) I had the wrong vac source at the time, and B) it hasn't happened since.

It's not even close to being an issue of concern for me anymore, so for whatever it's worth to potential buyers I'd still buy it again.

Ok...waiting for a paypal invoice from John.

mine took a few days to process and a few more for him to receive the money but that was because of paypal and not John. Keep in mind to add that block of time to your expectations b/c of Paypal.

I too have the idle problem, but it is by no means a major problem. If people are not purchasing the unit because of this issue, that is a travesty. The car runs so much better with the unit than it did before that it is unbelievable. I haven't hit fuel cut for such long time now that I no longer have to see my chiropractor after each ride in my car. The car is definitely smoother by more than a long shot. I think that someone should nominate this product as one of the best MSP products to be introduced.

I've paid John via paypal yesterday.

The idle "problem" just sounded like a huge problem when I came across the posts.

Now I just have to find some time to install it. Congrats on sports medicine. At this point (ms3), I leaning towards peds.

ok last shipment shipped yesterday morning, so those who paid should have it by the end of the week....I should have tracking #s out tonight or tomorrow to you guys....

when will we be able to purchase more of these or are they in stock? what is the current price on these?

Installed the unit in my car last night (around midnight at a municipal parking lot using a flash light). Mounted using peeps location and ran the vacuum tubing thru the driver's side gromit.

Impressions:

For the first 20 miles the car idled erratically and almost stalled when coasting in neutral. After 25 miles, the car was much smoother and drove better. No hestations or any kind of bumps at 4000 rpms on partial throttle. Even my fiance noticed a difference this morning during a trip to the market. She thought my driving had improved.

As to the installation:

Being clumpsy doesn't really help. I wished the kit came with scotch locks instead of the ones that were provided. Other than that it wasn't too bad.

Now a few questions for the experienced:

1) Right now, I tapped the vaccum source directly to the manifold along with my boost gauge (_|_|_). In the future, will it be ok to use the brake booster as the vac source for the afc?

2) At the present, I'm running 6.5-7-5 psi. When I get a boost controller and set the boost to 8psi, will I need to hook the afc to a labtop to change anything?
