Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge? Should i Buy the MSP?

Ok, so i went to a dealership today to test drive a MSP and i love it it has a hks bov and it sound sick. But the one thing i was worried about it that the Air/Fuel Ratio gauges was jumpin back and forth from lean-rich when i was at idle. Is this a known issue with MSP since i have not researched them much and could this be caused by the bov or any aftermarket parts? I would just hate to buy it and something be wrong with it. Any feedback is very much appriciated. Thanks!!!

sounds like you have the narrowband guage. All that guage really tells you is that your o2 sensor is working, by switching from rich to lean rapidly. if you get the wideband it should give you a number readout. The higher the number the leaner, the lower the richer. You want the "perfect" ratio of 14.7 parts of air to 1 part of fuel. Hope that helps a little

Yes...if you like the car...buy it....Thats definately a narrowband O2 sensor....basically a light show toy...Its working perfectly normal.
