great meet guys!!! very motivated. I saw some really nice rides. we apprecaite the business. sorry to the guys who had bad gas or a nasty reflash.

just to let you all know, aside from the nasty mazda reflash, we have reason to believe that the mazdaspeed protege would benefit GREATLY from an SAFCII tuned. basically, your cars come so wet from the factory(10.5:1), it reminds us of the new evolution 8. on an EVO8, BONE STOCK, we are able to install an SAFCII and tune an extra 53WHP. that is insane. ALL by leaning it out in the right spots... because of the EVO, and the MSP fuel similarity, we think we can gain similar power from an MSP with the same method.

because we want to see how this works, I'll put the word out that the FIRST MSP to buy an SAFCII from us, get it installed, and tuned, is going to get a SICK deal on parts, labor, and tuning.

just give a call.

see isnt it nice that a local shop opens its doors and then liked us so much that they want to just keep on helping us out and want to become a part of our group. that shows the great people and the fun that we have at these meets.

agile-

I'm interested as well, can you shoot me an email with the purchase price?

Thanks,
George

*UPDATE*

this "afc deal" is officially on hold pending investigation of the rumored "new ecu" allegedly being released by mazda in june... if anyone has solid info about this, please post it up.

we don't want to install the AFC on an ECU that is problem prone and(possibly worse than we all think)screwed up from the factory. I'm working to resolve the issues, and figure out what's fact or fiction before we do any installs. I just got the word on this ECU this morning..

oh yeah, as far as the AFC, I don't think it would apply to the non-turbo cars. the turbo cars are the ones coming soaked from the factory, plus turbo cars benefit much more from being leaned out in the right spot than NA cars.

yeh ive been hearin about the new flash also.....i really would like to get a e-manage to work on our cars but an afc is fine with me...u know im signed up

people are saying the settings get wiped out after the car has been turned off for a while....

basiclaly like the issues hill was havin with the utec mike...the ecu adapts and learns its not the preset curve and basically bypasses what the e-manage tries to make it see.....someone tried to tune with e-manage and observe with a obd 2 scanner and a wideband and the ecu would switch back to preset fuel curves and cause the car to lean out like a moffo.......relaly anoyin s***....if u do a quick search on e-manage ull find alot of stuff on the issues...to my knowledge no one has got a piggyback to work on any msp...

the haltec is a piggyback and that works. the AEM can be setup as a piggyback as well and i know wagner and perf can make those work for the mp5's so i see no reason why they wont for the MSP.

the aem unit comin out isnt really a piggy back.....its basiclaly a pnp standalone...only thing the ecu does is control the guage cluster once the aem is hooked up....also i havent seen much about the haltech for the msp..i just saw juans post about a unit for out cars....this would be on the same boat as the aem also though....when i think of a piggy back i think s-afc, emanage, and other controlers that dont actually replace the ecu at all...all they do is modify the signal comin from sensors so the ecu sees something different.....in the case of the aem and haltech...they dont do this...they just totally remove the ecu out of the equation and control signals themselves.....hence y they are over 1g and "piggybacks" aka emanage and s-afc are around 500....

really? are we sure it wasn't a firmware update for the emanage? they do have updated settings and run parameters... I'll have to try this..

not really sure....i know early greddy had no idea on help with settin up the emanage.....im assumin they are gonna step up and get this figured out...also heard they are plannnin a few upgrades for the msp as well....i relaly would like to get ahold of ignition control along with the fuel but at this point i just want control of somehting :)
