Aggressive fitment anyone?!

perfection is in the eye of the beholder haha

my fronts were at 17x8 +20 and i thought that was perfect
right now theyre at +28 with some negative camber, i have no poke -_-

but +35 will look pretty cool
my rear is +33 with some negative camber = FaF

Yeah I am pretty excited about them. Still going to keep the Volks and get them refinished. I have a set of 5/8mm spacers in that GB too, so I can always throw those on if I want to get super aggressive lol.

My current 215/40's will go on the 17x8's for now. Once my Galant VR4 is running and 5-lug swapped, it will get the 17x8's with 235/40's and then Volks and spacers will go back on the Protege.

i like it

do u think that with the spacers on, you'll rub your side wall in the fender??

my +33 with camber and a 205/40 is pretty close to the fender as it is

Right now when I hit deep enough dips (or have more than 1 passenger) the rear will rub on the inside fender. This is with -2 deg camber. I have to see where the new setup sits before adding spacers and/or going lower.

With 17x8 +38 & -1.0 camber, my rear still rubs through hard cornering. Coilovers this winter should cure that, hopefully. Along with cleaning up the rear fender lips... After I install the coils, I may get some 10mm spacers and extended studs to get to +35. :)

Good stuff! My Current setup is 17x9 +35 in front and 17x9 +35, +25mm spacer = 17x9 +10 in the rear. The rear has a -7 camber and the front has about -3. My plans later are to run 10's in the rear with a different setup. =D

Without the 25mm spacers in the rear, how much room is there to the strut? I'm guessing it wouldn't bolt up without the spacers...

lol, nice. So you could probably run a 17x10 +20 and clear the strut? I feel like my math is wrong... lol

You know... I really don't know... I have not measured the clearence of the current setup. I'll try to do that soon. I'm really eager to find out myself.

yah cuz if your rear is a +10 you must have a lot of room until u hit your strut
i did my math for the fronts plus a test fit and a 17x8 +45 is the highest you can go until you hit the strut
thats a 17x9 +20 - perfect fitment btw ;)
and a 17x10 -5

just to clear the strut in the front with a 17

There seems to be a large disparity between the 2 measurements above. Unless there is over a 10mm difference between the front and rear...

Actually, come to think of it, fd's are a 16x8 +50 and they clear the strut... I think w/ 8" wheel +50 offset is about as high as you can go, tho.

without a small spacer, they don't clear.. so 50 is even a tad high.

Man... you'd poke like crazy.. -5? on a 10? That won't look right at all, I can't even pull that one off...

I agree with wagon, 50 is really high. I have my 17x9 +35 with BC coilover and that has a credit card clearance. And if i made that into a 8" it would be a 17x8 +47? With no camber and fully aligned.

yeah the clearance issue is on the spindle mount on the stock struts as well. 3mm spacers clear up the issue.
