this, in my opinion, is perfect fittment

So I just bought some spacers for the car; 10mm from Ichiba, through a member on here who had them for sale last week. I have no doubt it will fit in the front, but the rear seems as though it will be rather tight when I look at it, ESPECIALLY with the tires I'm running (205/50r17 Advan AD07; before you ask, they were on a ridiculous clearance at TireRack and I jumped on them).
Anyone have any experience with that size? I have no issues clearing/rubbing on my race rims which have an equivalent offset (+45), but I'm running undersized tires (195/50r15).

i have 205/50/17's on my 5zigens, there +48 on a 7.5" and they rub, alot
but i dont think u are as low so its hard to say
Do you rub on the strut side or the fender side because I've heard multiple times that the sedans have more clearance then the wagons... and ya I'm not nearly as low as you are, my suspension may or may not be stiffer (don't know what you run), and I think I'm running more camber then you back there (-1.5*)

Turbo is out of the question atm. Believe it or not but I'm happy with my slotege, not like I can drive that fast any ways.

My setup: 17x8 +38 with 225/45 in front & 215/45 in rear. Front has no rubs, rear is rolled/pulled and still rubs a little if I'm driving hard or going through uneven roads... Lowered on Tokico Illuminas & RS* R Race Springs. Camber is around -1

The sedans have roughly 2mm more clearance in the rear than the wagons. Front should be the same. Rear is where you will have more issues fitting the wheels, tho. Personally, 17x8 +35 is near perfect fitment on the Protege, unless you want a lot of poke...

Just fyi, 17x8 +35 is equivalent to 17x7 +23 or 17x7.5 +29 in terms of being flush with the fender.

If you click the link to my mod list in my sig, there are pics of my setup.

and i rub on the fender, the strut has tons of room, i have tokico HP's with ground controls, not very stiff
and 1.5* would prob help the rubbing, my rubs alot lol thats why i took them off till i can afford 205/40's

How close is the rim/tire from the strut body with the 17x8 rims ? From what I've looked up 42 offset on 17x8 would fit but wasn't sure how close to the strut body it will be or if it rubbed at all.

how close in the back are the rim/tire from the trailer arm also ?

I hadn't measured exactly. There was plenty of room with 17x8 +45, I know that. And now @ +38, there's even more. :D

Trailing arm isn't an issue, either.

^ true

i know this doesnt matter in this topic
but i have new measurements
lol
17x8
+25 rear
+28 front
that is all
k, carry on

what size tire did you had with 17x8 +45 rims ? I'm thinking of using 235x45x17 thats why I'm asking for clearance with strut body and rear trailer arms
