Aftermarket remote start needed

First off let me say I do know there is an app but the app does not work where I live and I'm told it's due to no AT&T cell coverage. I'm on 7 Acres in the woods and my garage is 150 ft from the house. Typically I hit the remote button in the house to open the garage door and push the key fob to remote start my vehicles but of course none of the Mazdas come with a key fob remote. Yes I did know this going in and I'm not upset. I've got a 24 CX-90 and a 25 CX-5 that replaced a 2010 expedition and a 2022 Kia Seltos. looking to do a remote start on both of them and wondering what everybody is using that will work? I've already emailed multiple companies and asked if there was anyone won't start to work with the factory key fob and there isn't. I'm thinking about the Compustar two-way but any suggestions are welcome. I figure on the 25 I only have a year of free service anyways and after that I'll be paying 10 bucks a month so I might have paid for an aftermarket remote start from the get-go.

I do not use a remote start but here is one that works with the factory remote. Range is only going to be whatever range you get from the factory remote when locking/unlocking doors. I believe this one is available in two models; one works with 3x press of lock and the other is something like lock-unlock-lock to start.

I'm in the same boat as you. I barely have a signal while my CX-5 is in the garage. Once Mazda ends its free remote start, I'll be on the look out for an alternative.
I miss my other car that had a Viper remote start. I was able to remote start from 200 feet away.

I have the Fortin remote starts on both my 2019 CX-5 (old-style remote) and my 2023 CX-50 (new-style remote). In both cases it's the same Fortin EVO-ONE hardware, just with different add-on wiring harness adapters. And they both work well.

A couple of thread posts for each car:

Forget about Mazda Remote Start which features an extra key fob with a BIG telescopic antenna, and MMS which seems to be dead. Go get an aftermarket remote start system such as Fortin EVO-ONE mentioned above, or iDatalink HC2352AC and many others. They all use factory key fob without additional fob or subscription.

I have a Pursuit system on my 16 Mazda. My dealership actually had a setup with a local installer back in the day where the guy would install it for you before you picked up your car at the dealership.
All you really need do is call a local shop and see what they offer. Mazdas still to this day are very friendly to aftermarket starters.

I was going to pull the trigger on this one with the lock unlock lock, however some of the negative reviews scared me away. Seems like most people are happy, but even the ones that are happy claim some systems of the car aren't working correctly if remote started.

Others that aren't happy claim it damaged their car, the car shut off when driving, or it kills their battery. I just decided to stay away from this one.

Do you have one cadcamjim? If so how long, and what's your experience been like?
