Mazda 3 s sedan winning blue
Ok. here's a question for you guys. I bought a 3s w/ everything but the xenon package and the navi. Now I'm regretting it. Do you think it would be cheaper to put those things in now (OEM xenons w/ manual adj.), and navigation unit, or to tade-in sell it and buy another one w those packages?

wow... well... once u drove that car off the lot it was worth about 3 or 4 GRAND less... so, unless those 2 packages are worth that much, u will be losing alot of money... the greatest single depreciation in a car is the second u sit in it and drive it off the lot under your name, the next greatest depreciation, is when there is negative vehicle to vehcile contact... so, find out the price of those 2 packages and compare numbers... it might be worth it... but i highly doubt it... would probably be bette for u to go back in fork over an extra grand and have them install it... ur car will be worth more as it will have those packages... and talk to the person u bought the car from, maybe he/she can give u a deal on it...

yes this is what I thought too. But i never drove the car off the lot. They had to order extra parts for accessories i wanted, and i took a rental car home. i am supposed to pick the car up Aug.2nd. I am sure the car is in my name though as mazda usa has my name associated with the car's vin and I have a key and manual. So I guess, even though i haven't driven the car off the lot yet, if i were to sell it back, it would have to be a used car thus the depreciation. But i don't know. confusing.

i have no idea how that scenario could be played out... because u havnt driven it off the lot, they might decide that itz still new... but because they r doing things to it, they culd decide that it has been used... it is up to the dealer... but i wouldnt hesitate to ask if u really want those options on ur car...

Any ideas on how I could word this to the salesman to try to spin it in my favor?

what grounds do you have to back out of the contract? none?

if you have a way out of that contract just void it and tell the guy to sell you a car with those options.. then maybe he'll offer that package added to your existing car at a reasonable price to keep the contract valid?

don't think they'd add the navi. zenon option is like 1200. there are some sights that sell the upgrade for like 300$ and then you could always buy an aftermarket navigation system.

Just ask him if it would be possible at this point to change cars. You want to spend more money. I'm sure he'll want to help you.
