Sorry if this has been asked or info in thread already, but I was hoping there was an aftermarket Front mount intercooler kit available for the Msp prtege? Im picking mine up this week, and want to start right away modding it.

Or does anyone have the specs for the size of I/C that will fit in the bumper?

Ohhh and aftermarket exhaust? gotta open the breathing.
Thanks

Sup man. I am in the process of researching the intercooler, turbo piping, and exhaust deal. When I get some free time, I am takin a trip down to the beach to a friends shop. He has a DSM front mount waiting for me. I will keep everyone updated, might be a week or 2 before I get down there, so please be patient...Later,

most likely. is something goes wrong thats found to be directly related to whatever mod you did then thats where they bend you over and leave the KY sittin on the work bench next to you. if you don't want to void the warrenty or your worried about it you should of bought a car with more power

imho i don't think it's smart to start voiding the warranty so quickly on a car that might have some issues down the road. This is the first year of the msp, so some things might go wrong. oh well, to each his own.

Ever heard of keeping stock parts? If something shall go wrong, I will put the stock parts back on the car, just like I would do with any other car. Things are easier, when you think them through.
P.S. Not flamin...Later,

Tpo void a warranty, the aftermarket part has to be the contributing factor to the warranty work. So in other words, If the ignition box goes bad, having an aftermarket intercooler wil not void that warranty work.

Now if the I/c goes bad and metal flies into your engine from it, that would void the warranty.

For more info on protection of your rights under warranty work goto www.sema.org to find out all you need to protect yourself if you have aftermarket parts on your ride and need warranty work done.

You might have to really fight to get that coverage, though. Don't be afraid to go to the corporate level to get yourself covered for a case where the dealer wants to deny coverage unjustly.

That said, it's hard to argue if you have a boost controller or the like mounted.....
