So I just installed the Clarion NX501, but had some questions regarding the Bose Amp. I have seen a couple of threads here and other forums that state that I need to use the Metra 70-7903 harness but I will need to solder rca connectors onto the speaker wires or you will overdrive the OEM amp. Right now I have the Metra harness wires attached directly to the wiring harness wires provided with the Clarion unit and everything seems to be working fine.
Should I be concerned about damaging the HU or Amp with the setup as it is?? Do I really need to splice in RCA Jacks??
