aftermarket hood for P5

nah I like the scoop. makes it look much more aggressive. ken at protegegarage is selling them, too. you could probably save some money going with him. It's fiberglass, not carbon fiber. otherwise, I'll probalby be picking htis up later this year if everything goes well :)

I like this one the most

Gemini > DGM ram air > Advanced Performance hoods or w/e it is. Guess it's all personal taste, but that gemini hood is mighty sekzy imo!

yeah i like the carbon fiber hoods but i couldnt bring my self to buy one. i especially liked the one entense linked but i couldnt bring my self to spend that much on a hood. cheapest iv found on that was like 1200 shipped (boom07) ... iwas thinking ,damn that much i could get a geretturbocharger for that hahaha. but i saw this one so gonna get that instead. ill post some picks when it gets painted and installed. think im gonna go glossy black hood on my silver p5 think that would make it stand out alittle more and create some contrast.

never really like the reverse cowl. I didnt really like the little lip jump in the front, it would have been nice if it could have been design to be smooth. If you just have an cai then i would not bother with one of these hoods since it not going to help in the power area. If it is looks you want then in that case I would get just a regular cf hood from Gemini.

hahah wtf who said i paid that much for it?? i never said i bought it from him he not the only one thats sell car stuff yo. for the sake of protegegarage.com im not gonna make the price i paid public.

Hey overdrivex, your sig pic is from greenway plaza parking garage isn't it? I used to work at 11 greenway & used that garage also. I have some pics of other cars I had from on top of that garage. I'm over on 290@610 now so different view of town in background........

Aren't ram air hoods gonna ram water too when it rains? Not sure I want that in freeway traffic in rain.......

On this one above does the water drain down the hood through the openings onto motor if car sitting in rain? Or when you wash car?

It does not drain directly onto the motor.

I have this hood on for almost a year now (not including the prototype), and there are no concerns with water. In fact, I still have my red kevlar version on right now in the middle of a Canadian winter!

In the pic below, I was at a show where it ended up pouring rain as you can see in the back ground.
