aftermarket exhaust!!!!! help!!!

k, someone please tell me why all the aftermarket exhaust sytems for the 6i are 2.25? that is the stock size. now, correct me if im wrong but when u get cat-back exhaust you go a size up right? i know i did. i went custom, got a CAI, Magna-flow high flow cat, no resonator, and 2.5 all the way back, and magnaflow mufflers. im thinkin ive gained 10-15 whp? neways if you guys could answer as many of the questions as possible thatd b great. thx.

well it does sound mean though. im goin back down to 2.25 though. shouldnt of went to 2.5, guess i coulda lost some hp! oh well cheap fix.

Why would going 2.5 cause you to lose horse power? Would it be because of loss of back pressure?

everyone's sayin the stock exhaust on the 6i is great, shouldnt of messed wit it. but after another couple mods, After market mid-pipe, header, and ecu flash. going 2.5 will be well worth it.
