So i installed my bov a while back... now i notice a lot more engine movement when i let off the gas and it up shifts, it feels like an unsafe jerk as if my tranny is about to give but i havent had any problems just a lot of movement kinda scary. Is this bad or normal? and an engine light came on about a week later after installation swaped it out with the stock one then took it the dealership and they said it was an actuator and had something to do with emmisons. Is the engine light due to the fact that I have my bov on atmosphere or is it something not related to my bov...

Samething happened to me when I took of the recirculation hose on the stock bov.

I have had mine on vta for over 2 months now with a hks valve also and I have no CEL or any jerking that I didn't have before I changed it... I can drive a stick smoother then most automatics shift... please tell me your not flooring it then letting off just to get the sound then hammering the gas, thats why they dont reccomend it for manual speed 3/6 cause everytime you shift you lose that intake air but not so on our automatics. there is a video on you tube of 2 guys doing that and the guy holding the camera looks like hes getting whiplash. the valve should only blow off once you reach top speed or you let off the gas to apply the break and if your not driveing hard you should barely hear it at all cause the primary valve is pretty quiet. if you are still paranoid pay the 30 bucks for the recirc attachment from hks

i hope you didn't just take the hose off and not plug it, also you are probably getting the jerkiness because with it set to vta you are getting rid of already measured air the engine expects to see, there for you are causing the engine to run really rich because fuel is dumped in but the air to match it is not, it can cause back fires.
