After and entire day in the garage.....

looks good to me, as long as its strong enough to support the pressure from the header it should do fine

i would just check on it every so often to make sure its still doing its job

Yea def. gon keep an eye on it. Think Im gonna wrap em too and put a little extra at that spot, cuz i can hear it rattling a little im assuming it the header vibrating against it.

Also a sneak peak at the new setup: Red pin-striping and red lip on the rims, she REALLY needs a bath, I know, and it was shot at night so the quality sux, but I suppose thats why they call it a sneak peak

how did you made the red lip and what did you use ? I want to do something simirlar to my rims, but I dont know what to use to make the color lip. Right now I am planning to paint my rims black and either leave the lip silver or make the lip red. Another option is just paint the star of the rim black and leave the rest silver.

First I just taped off the rubber of the tire and sprayed the entire rim with Duplicolor flat black wheel paint (3 coats, 15min in between, 1hr after last coat), Then I taped off the inner wheel leaving just the lip and sprayed it using regular Rustoleum all purpose cardinal red (3 coats, 15min in between, 1hr after last coat). Finally removed the inner tap exposing the whole wheel again and used Duplicolor Protective Wheel clear coat (3 coats, 15min in between, 2hrs before removing tape covering the tire and putting back on the car. Let the wheels sit on the car overnight to allow the paint plenty of time to cure.

oh ok, cool thanks for the info. I think I am going to try the black rim with silver lip first and see how it looks.

Sounds good. Post up some pictures somewhere when ur all done and let me know the thread link so I can check it out.

So, wait...you now have your spring sitting between your header flange and exhaust pipe flange?

No no, lol. I didnt mess with that. I used some aluminum banding and wrapped it around the header, then bolted it to the original J pipe mount spot to hold it away from the oil pan
