Yes. i did a search, and found threads like this, from a while ago with no good results, so im starting a new one and hopefully people chime in with resutls and there experiences as of recently..

im giong to be taking off my stock downpipe today and having a tech at my work install a bung for my aem wideband tomorrow and i want to know where the best place is to weld in the bung..

before the first cat obviously and after the turbo obivously, but where specifically? right after the first o2? next to it? before it?

please, someone whos had theres installed, please help!

there is very little room to play with up there. it will end up going pretty much inline / next to the OEM bung

and that is safe for the AEM supplied o2 sensor?

i read on some random forum that it has to be at least 36 inches away, but taht seems awfully far haha

Yes, there is going to be very little room to work between the first cat and the turbo exhaust outlet. You have little choice but to place it inline and relatively close to the OEM O2 bung. I'm not sure it matters which bung comes first.

Say, have you thought about using this as an opportunity to upgrade to a 3 inch DP/RP and high flow cat?

Now would be the time, because you are going to have to pull that DP to do the new bung and it's going to be a b**** to remove and replace. Great opportunity to pick up a very substantial power gain for small financial investment. And if you are in a "no sniffer" state, consider going catless.

Lots of good vendors here with DP/RP options, catted or catless.

i had a dp rp from turbo xs and sold it off because i wasnt going to install them without a tuning solution, and i didnt have money for cpes standback...

im aware but i have a full shop available to me with any type of tool you can think of, so im not too worried about the install / reinstall.

but thanks for the tip, im gonna place it right behind the stock o2, same angle and everything is fine?

ideally being 36 inches downstream from the turbine is right. but its more ideal to be before any interference from a cat, which will throw off the reading a few points.

why you welding one into the stock DP? why not just get a Cobb DP that has the bung already there?

idely its 36 in past the exhaust valves or turbo???
i figure the OP has been answered. ive seen most are right there next to the factory o2 sensor.
