Aem V2

Has anyone here heard about the AEM V2 intake? They don't have any MSP applications as yet but so far it's proven to be better than AEM's own CAI...better by about 4hp (according to dyno charts). I'm hoping they'll think about making one for the MSPs.

is it better on turbo cars as well or just n/a cars? this is the one with 2 different sized parts, right?

isnt the V2 basically just a wider piping size??

It's based on two different internal diameters - one for lower rpm ranges and one for higher rpm ranges...which is effectively why it's better.

what the guy from aem told us is that the v2 uses sound waves from the intake to create in (his words)boost... he said that the v2 is bassically a regular aem cai with a larger diameter pipe over it and the space between the two pipes uses the sound waves to produce what he says is about 1/2 pound of boost..The guy i sold my 2000 si to put one on it and you can only really tell a difference around 6500rpm and up and its a lot louder too

either way, AEM doesn't love us enough to make one for us. So it doesn't really matter.
