AEM ems for Mazda Protege 01+

I can't wait, but its amazing, do people not realize how good this standalone will be and HOW EXPENSIVE it will be? You're going to see a lot of interested people, but only a handful of buyers because of the price. Beau is putting in a TON of time and money into this, and people think that this will be a nice affordable standalone, think again:)

Yup I know this is gona cost around XXXX, but hey I'll just eat bread and water for a few weeks.

more like noodles for a few months. I'm looking at early 05 at the earliest with X-mas and all coming up.

yeah guys, im not trying to be a prick, but this will cost a LOT. like, i'd have to save for months possibly YEARS lol.

So what're we talking, around $1500 for the kit? I definitely want to swing with a standalone to run strong NA for a while and get my SC later. I've heard they've pulled 20+ horsies outta these vehicles on 87octane only changing the fuel maps, so I'm pretty psyched about the standalone possibilites with high octane fuel. Keep the updates rolling in...I'm interested

We are setting up our AEM so that you can run an AEM CDI box and individual coils.
Our thinking is if you are needing a system like the AEM you will need a CDI box(similar to MSD) and aftermarket coils.
Our setup will be a direct plug in.Unplug the stock computer, install our harness, plug in AEM box and plug in the stock ECU.
As it stands the system will come with the AEM box and Adapter harness we build. Our harness will also have a pigtail for the CDI box..
To give a estimate you are looking around $2100 or so for the AEM box and our harness.Every box from us will come fully calibrated so that it's a direct bolt in.

Here are some old pictures of the harness.

Oooh... How much extra would the WBO2 be, for the auto-tuning feature, by any chance? =)

I would recommend running the Gauge style AEM WB.They are $385.You will have to take the 2 wires on the AEM gauge and put them into the EMS.It's real easy. This way you can see your AF's all the time and not have to have a labtop open.

So about 2500 for the whole package, eh? Sweet... I'll start saving my pennies. =) Gonna need this with my indepandant throttle bodies.

HAHA! Now that I have pictures of the harness, I can just build my own!

(thats a joke for those of you who don't get bad jokes)

WOW! Looking at that harness makes me wonder how in the world anyone would want to splice their AEM into any car!?

Usually the AEM kits run between $900 and $1500 for a standalone unit...you're telling me this will be non standalone and cost over 2k? Might just have to get some wiring diagrams and build my own...

Wow, that harness looks like a bunch of licorice hooked up to it :)

Lookin good, you cant ever beat plug and play.
