As long as the short ram places the filter far enough towards the fender (maybe relocating the coolant overflow bottle), I'd sure be interested.

Does anyone have a guesstimate of the cost for something like this?

Both kits move the coolant overflow bottle.

We're not trying to give you a hard time. We do appreciate you effort in coming here and telling us about you're product. I prefer AEM products so I'll wait till I get a FMIC to decide what intake i'm going to get.

I want it with the heat shield. I am willing to pay more than for a CAI. Doesn't sound like we're going to get it with the heat shield, though. I understand that it costs more. I think folks would pay, so long as it wasn't crazy expensive.

Good luck selling the CAI's if that's how you're going to go. I'm sure its a fine product, but you're jumping into a crowded market.

Definately not trying to give you a hard time and I'm glad to see another vendor has someone posting here. Just a little disappointed about the SRI.

ditto..please keep us informed AEM_tech on the status of either one..the website still says available for the SRS with no price and the CAI still unavailable...i really appreciate you putting up with all of us SRI guys here....

Don't know if thats worth anything but if AEM comes out with the SRI im in. If not, im gonna go ahead and buy the billet SRI which is around $200. I could deal without the heat sheild cuz I could get a local shop to mcgyver me one. BUT if AEM still wants to make a SRI without a heat sheild and price it around billet design SRI...then im in!

Just want to add that I was only considering AEM for the SRI & if all they are making is the CAI, I'm going elsewhere. After all this, I've lost interest in AEM too.

AEM tech...not to sound like a dick and I thank you for taking the time to help us MSPeeders out but if ya making a CAI its worthless. Injen already has one out that most MSPeeder out there have (not very proud of that). I realize your bottom line is profit and im sorry to hear that...its hard for a big company to pay much attention to use MSPeeders. Wish I could help you out but I would absolutely take a SRI without heatsheild over the CAI if its priced right. Keep us informed about the SRI development...if not we're waiting for billet design SRI.

i just called AEM to see if there was someone i could talk to there about this to talk some sense into them

they said no and the best thing to do was to post on here since they have ppl that monitor online forums etc...

and yes, 365 is msrp on the cai

not sure what retail would be.

And they said the SRi was gonna be more expensive than that. not sure if all of us SRI proponents would buy a SRI for that much but i am willing to bet more ppl would buy the SRI for that much than the CAI since it will be the only major brand SRI in existence.....not to mention more gains than competitos CAIs

AEM_Tech thank you and your company for your time,i appreciate that a large company is trying to make product's for our car.however i think that making another CAI is useless for an FI car,i have been waiting telling myself not to buy a CAI and just wait for AEM to release it's SRI but,now that it's not going to happen i'll,just have to have someone fabricate an SRI for me or buy the Injen and turn it into a SRI.again Thank you for your time.
