Advice with problems on my new MS6

any updates? as i'm concern w/ my 07 MS6 too, i've brought my car in twice for 2 CEL, car is only 1 month old....and it seems to be the typical solenoid purge valve problem....

I don't understand why everyone automatically went to they should by it back? Did you even ask for some sort of compensation or did they offer it to you? I don't work for Mazda or any Mazda dealership, but its not like the dealer and corperate aren't trying to make things right or denying anything here. They are doing exactly what needs to be done. It's not like overnighting a trans from Japan is a cheap thing to do. It's going to have to go through customs which will also take some time (a day or two). Also when the dealer got corperate involved that also takes time for their rep to schedule to get to the dealer and make the final word as to what they are going to do. Add to it being a newer model that parts aren't readily avialable its understandable that they can't fix a trans problem right away. At least you are getting a brand new trans, not having yours rebuilt or getting a factory rebuild (which is also a reason why its taking some time cause they have to pull one from the assembly line). Plus the dealer is warrantying an alignment is pretty rare. I've driven Chicago roads and they are quite pot hole filled which can easily alter your alignment if you hit one hard enough.

Also lemon law only works if the car is down for over 30 days, or has the same exact problem 4 times. That doesn't mean that I had a check engine light 4 times so buy it back. If it had 4 different faults it doesn't count cause they consider that 4 seperate problems. If it was the same exact fault 4 times in a row then that is considered a lemon law situation.

Just had my MS6 back in for its SECOND CEL related to the purge valve. They claim this time there is nothing wrong with the Leak Detention Pump this time. I believe here in the state of PA, three times with thte same problem in first 12mo./12K miles = Lemon Law.

The dealer has indicated to me Mazda realizes there is a known problem with the Purge Valve.

Ok so I have never said that the dealer was not being co-operative. The problem is every time the fix a problem, there is a new one that arrises.... basically they have had the car for as long or longer then I have as it was not driveable. It is easy for you to say from that side they are being fair, but think if this was any, and I mean ANY other industry you would return the product and get a refund or replacement. It is not fair that the customer should have to make payments for something that they can not even use, as it is sitting in Mazda's shop......

Regardless.... I am happy to report the situation is resolved. I took delivery of a new vehicle yesterday. The bad news is there were no other black cherry sports to be had in the 4 state area! The good news is Mazda ponyed up some more cash and helped me get into a GT Liquid Platinum (which was my first choice to start with). It was a comprimise as my payment went up about 30 bucks a month, but all in all they were very fair and I am happy with the end result.

I just took my MS6 into the dealer to have them diagnose AWD problems. All the frustrations started a couple of days ago, and then they said the couldn't reproduce the problem. Anyways the prblem is that it's acting like a FWD car and not AWD. Come on the 300ft burnout is fun. Well today I went to pick it up, and didn't even get out of the lot with out is doing the same issue all over again. WEll this time I took the tech for a ride, and I ripped him a new one for not even trying to find the issue. He din't believe that is had issues. I started off easy for him to show him it wasn't the clutch. about 20MPH I goosed it, and lit'em up throught the top of 3rd. He did't say one thing other than he was going to find the problem. By the way the 4WD litght flashes anytime the wheels are slipping.

Any ideas on the issue?
