Man, I'll be honest with you. Ive been lifting for almost 20 years now, taking protein supplements for about 8, and I am now convinced that it is all a scam. I think creatine may work for some people (not me), but the rest is money down the drain.

Take my advice - if getting big is what you want to do more than anything, there is no legal way to do it. You will have to resort to steroids. Just the truth. They work, and nothing else does.

Im not telling you to go out and get steroids now - Im just saying that if getting big is your goal in life, that is the only way. But talk to someone who is knowledgeable first. Pick the biggest bastard in the gym and tell him you want some information. As long as you dont accuse him of taking them, he will probably help you.

Just imho,

p.s. I gained 13 pounds in 6 weeks in my first cycle. All muscle. My bench went from 250 once (very shakey) to 265 twice (piece of cake).

Yeah, I think that is the latest news. I havent really kept up with whats going on with creatine. Since it didnt help me after trying it twice, I gave up on it.

Yea creatine is bad stuff. I took some stuff after an hour of lifting forgot what it was called.Hmmm....it was from GNC. I hope thats the right name of the store. Even the guy there told me creatine (u take before lifting) right??) Is bad stuff.....my older bro is a body builder, though he hasn't lifted for a while, cause he had some surgery(not from the creatine something else). If you like i can look up the name of the stuff I took. Cost me $30, and it seemed to work for me.

Tomorrow or within a few days... im gonna start working out again (not cause of this thread). cause summer school is finally over.

I'm in University, and in co-op, so I don't get any terms off for 5 years.

When I worked out last year, I was 130 lbs (still way too light, but yeah, i'm 5'10). now im back down to 120. grrrr

btw does protein expiry?

i have friends that have taken steroids, i could get them if i wanted, but i don't want to go that way. i don't need to be huge, just bigger. my bench is already around what yours was after your first cycle :)

i just read a study done by some university that 5g of creatine/day does not damage your kidneys, as has been reported. you're supposed to cycle it though, so if you take it every day for years, then yea, it'll probably hurt your kidneys. other than that, it's safe

I don't know about egg protein, but whey protein certainly expires. The other day the 2 guys I work with said that they could get a tub of whey protein for free, so I shouldn't go out and buy more. They come back with this bottle that they found at work as a joke. It expired about 2 years ago. Seriously, it was digusting smelling. I almost puked just from opening the lid.

Raw eggs... it's natural and you get your protein. :D I tried Creatine along with other shakes and supplements like Ripped Fuel, etc. for a few months and it made me ill. Everything else was fine, but the Creatine was just not working for me. Made me run to the bathroom. lol

first step a complet medical exam

protein 1gram per body weight if you want mass in the night before sleep any protein is good im use designer whey from Next protein

use NO2

and go to the gym 3 to 4 days in the week not more

and sleep good 7 to 8 hours

and eat clean

never use steroids

well, it did give you an extra workout then, just maybe not the muscle group you wanted (laugh)

i'm stopping creatine and just doing protein now, like i used to do. i also cut out bread, potatoes and the little soda i used to drink. i don't think i'm going to take no2 yet, i just wanna do protein supplements for a little while, maybe in a few months i'll try no2

I've been using NO2 for a few weeks now and I think it's helping me a good bit. I've been adding about 10lbs to my bench a week. I'm still really small so maybe larger people won't see those kind of results, but I think I'll continue with it until I start to plateau.

I dont tone very well. I build mass quicker than I tone. Anybody else like this? Big bulky muscles, without too much definition. Some girls get skinnier as they work out, me... I get like China. lol

Girls that want to increase their definition should do alot of reps of an exercise with light weight. That way you don't really gain much muscle in that region, but you instead burn the fat there. Of course you will get a little bigger, but you'll see better looking results.

I used to use all that stuff and it was working, but it was costing me a lot. I stopped using it and couldn't maintain what I had without it, but oh well. Muscles don't come cheap.

In college I lifted 4x a week for about 2 years. Never broke 163lbs (@6' tall), but I could bench 210 or so.

I never took any supplements, roids or anything, just ate normal food. Couldn't get big to save my life, but I was pretty ripped and quite strong for my size.

Supplements cost alot of money. About $35-55 a tub or bottle on average. And then you gotta wonder... is it working??? I used the supplements that would help to lower the threat of muscle tear and fatigue, then the other ones to help boost muscle mass and give me energy. But some of them made me jittery and gain weight which isnt what I want considering I'm 5'4" and 118. As far as reps... for instance I do about 10-15 pnd arm curls at 12 each set and 3-4 sets of each excersize. Thats about as much as I want to do now. Hell there was a time that I could curl 35 pounds each, but I was at my prime and 30 years old is not "prime" anymore. lol Plus I'm starting to notice longer recovery times now that I'm getting older and hitting the gym a little less harder than I used to.

For those of you teenagers and early 20's people..

MUST BE NICE!!!!!! :p lol
