Adjusting SS map clamp.

installed my map clamp yesterday, but the instructions don't mention anything about a starting voltage. The little adjustment screw seems to turn in either direction without any stopping point. I don't have a volt meter or dashhawk to measure the map voltage. If just been slowly turning it counter clockwise as I do test runs and still have boost cut. Is that the best way to adjust it? And does turning the screw counternclockwise turn the output voltage to the edu down?

you need a volt meter and a dashhawk or some gauges to watch what you do and the changes it makes otherwise you are screwing around with something you have no idea whats happening.....not a good idea. get the right tools for the job

OK thanks, but that still doesn't help. Which direction turns the output voltage down on the MAP clamp is what I'm asking.....

sorry, I was just saying tho even if someone tells you which way adjusts it you dont know exactly how much your changing stuff without gauges/voltmeter so it's not a good idea at this point IMO

edit:I bet how you said originally is how it goes, counterclockwise is down and clockwise turns it up

I'm trying to find someone locally with a dashhawk so I can log the AFR's and MAP voltage.
I'm not sure how I'd read the MAP voltage with a meter while in the car driving....

counter clockwise is turning the voltage down. THERE IS NO STOP FOR THE SPLIT SECOND CLAMP...that means that set screw will turn and turn and turn...

it has about 20 rotations, you NEED a dh to set this properly...or something that can either read the voltage to the map OR read what the ecu sees for boost

A volt meter should be standard equipment in every tool box.
Borrow one if you have to and have someone else drive while you check the voltage.

Looks like I have it dialed in now. Tested on the way home torY and it held pretty strong at 20 psi with no cutting.
