Adding Interactive Features to Images

As posted in my announcement:

You might have already noticed a little icon in the lower left hand corner of some images. This is a new interactive feature I'm testing provided by a Google Ventures backed company called Luminate. At this time, I'm only experimenting with the service and seeking feedback from the Community. I'm excited about the technology and its potential to enhance the forum experience. Please let me know your thoughts via this Thread or via Private Message (PM). Thank you!

Is there a way the users can turn it off? I for one don't like it, just want to know if I can turn it off.

i will say i have noticed it like triples page loading time on anything where that is there. which does annoy me slightly when my brand new computer takes like 30 seconds to load some pages.

So - it adds the little icon that allows you to post a picture to facebook or twitter? Some may find it useful. I'm not subscribed to either service, so it doesn't do much for me.

I like it because I'm an avid FB'er...so if I see a really nice pic of a car that I want to share it's easy as that...but there should be an option for those who don't want/need it on...

i posted up a new thread about some slowdowns and issues I've been having and I've verified that it is luminate that is causing it.
