Acronyms Galore . . . but what do they all mean?

Hey. New to the intricacies of cars. I learn quickly, and am mechanically inclined in most aspects (given a halfway decent set of instructions), but I'm getting thrown for a loop on these forums with some of these acronyms. So I'll be posting some acronyms that I've seen and know, and some that I've seen and are blank. If you could throw in whatever you think I'll see on these boards as far as modding and clear up some of my confusion, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I'm also putting in some manufacturers that I didn't realize were actual COMPANY acronyms and racked my brain trying to figure out what PART it was . . . Sigh.

CAI - Cold Air Intake (sadly took me a while to figure this one out. Then I
slapped my forehead and shouted "Duh" when I realized what it was)
SRI - Short Ram Intake
CDFP - Cam Driven Fuel Pump
TBE - Turbo Back Exhaust
CBE - Cat Back Exhaust
CP-E - Custom Performance Engineering Co.(?)
BPV/BOV - Bypass valve/Blow off valve (when it's vented to the atmosphere)
BCK/BCD - Boost Cut Killer/Boost Cut Defender
TMIC - Top Mount Intercooler
FMIC - Front Mount Intercooler
I/C - ? (inter/cooler?)
MM-motor mount
TRZ- company that makes/sells the "dogbone" motor mount
TWM SS or STS- TWM (company) short shifter or short throw shifter
SRI- short ram intake
EMS- engine management s....? system?
MBC-manual boost controller
EBC- electronic boost controller
DP- downpipe
WOT- wide open throttle

As I read more threads and inevitably become more and more confused, I'll add-on to my list above with more ?'s for hopefully SOMEONE to school me. If you want, I'll wear a dunce hat while updating my post....;) And I'll be cutting/pasting other replies to the above. In case others wonder what they may be, it'll be a one-stop index.

BPV- bypass valve. when vented to the atmosphere is called a BOV- blow off valve.
BCK or BCD- boost cut killer or defender. Designed to keep the ecu from cutting fuel when the boost pressure is increases over stock parameters.

Good job on figuring out all those accronyms, its a confusing world with cars. Dont worry no one will think less of you for asking or admitting you dont know.

what else...?

ECU - Electronic Control Unit? (basically the car's 'computer')

Thanks for WOT. That's been puzzling me for a while!

And of course it'd be a sticky (salt in the wound!). Thanks. I'll bookmark and sheepishly be on my way . . .
