AC Switch Problem

Alright, it finally got warm enough to run the A/C this weekend so...

When i push the AC button, it turns green indicating on and I feel the compressor kick on.

but

The light will flicker and the compressor will kick on and off as the light flickers. Eventually the light/and compressor quit working unless I have the fan on either the 1 or 4 position. Does not seem to matter whether floor, mix, vents or defrost is selected.


Anyone run into this issue?

yea. they had to replace the blower speed selector switch in my msp

yeah there was a known problem about this, there is a tsb about it. not sure if it covered the mp3s or not but i know its a problem in the p5s

Yeh... the a/c controls are glitchy in the MP3s. Find yourself a wrecked protege somewhere and swipe out the controls.
Thats what I did... everything works just fine.

If it's a TSB the stealership should fix for free....

hmm.. i thought TSBs were good for an X amount of years after the production to be completed at dealer cost?
